I think its cool how billie still plays his guitar from when he was like 12, and its not even a real fender, its a copy cat mexican fernandes so to all the dicks who say you need a good guitar to be cool, fuck off.

It wasn't the commercial success that American Idiot was. Ask any parent who about Green Day circa 1994/5 and they'd probably say "who"? Ask them now and it'd be a different story. American idiot was their commercial breakthrough.
and 1 more thing :) green day and most bands only get good crouds in england and germany... when ever a band plays in munich its a great croud and reading festival and wembley are great crouds so just shut the fuck up, reading festival is in england watch these in woodstock in what ever country it is its a shit croud

like i what i meant was, in the real song, there are 3 final strums to the guitar and then that's the end, but here billie always continues strumming at the end and you hear the audience cheer.
Besides the Beatles, I can't think of any other band who has as many great songs and albums than Green Day. I'm dead serious. You can ask anyone and they'll know at least one Green Day song. These guys will go down in history.

@Bash316 The Clash are an amazing, brilliant band but at the same time they were most likely known as the Beatles of their time (Even though they dispised them). Put simply, the Beatles are just easier to compare to other people, as they were one of the very first pop icons (and yes, I know the Beach Boys came first, but the Beatles opened up the floodgates between continents, started the British Invasion, and are simply better known than the beach boys). yea but pop punk acts like blink 182 and green day are pretty much the same as mainstream rap or hip hop they are NOT afraid to sell out and go gold. besides all of todays "punk" is one big fake poser assholes that are close to anything but punk, their like backstreet boys with distortion in the backround (that might be a tad diffrent than green day but you get my point to were pop punk evolved) real punk is doing somthing outragous and ballsy and this is not close.

well i have to admit that the best audience in green day concerts is from england.... but the best audience generally is greek! :P..... every artist that comes here fells in love with the crowd!

like i what i meant was, in the real song, there are 3 final strums to the guitar and then that's the end, but here billie always continues strumming at the end and you hear the audience cheer.

@Bash316 The Clash are an amazing, brilliant band but at the same time they were most likely known as the Beatles of their time (Even though they dispised them). Put simply, the Beatles are just easier to compare to other people, as they were one of the very first pop icons (and yes, I know the Beach Boys came first, but the Beatles opened up the floodgates between continents, started the British Invasion, and are simply better known than the beach boys). Put simply, Green Day represents 00s
