I looked this up onece and it basically said this was a bunch of "loose stuidio musicians" who came together to make this. I hand no idea Lary Norman was the vocal. Thanks
A quartet I played bass in recorded four songs in Jeoff Levin's Studio City home studio back in 1979. Heck of a nice fellow (and his cohort, Jerry) for putting up with our grandiosity and incompetence.
Much as I love The Zombies, I always preferred this take on the song. Much more true to the hippie asthetic, a-la-West Coast, of the day.

Your wonderful version of I Love You is by far the very best mV of this song. And i'm talking hands down. One word my friend. (Bravo) Keep up the great work... Ricky!!
I guess this is really a forgotten classic. I don't recall the song at all, but it's the kind of music I love - a good mixture rock/pop/psychedelia. Thanks for posting it.
Talk about forgotten Classics ? I started humming this today and could'nt figure out who it was. Well, as some other singer once said " Its all coming back to me now ". A very good song from a group of 1 Hit Wonders. Thanks for Posting this or i would have gone crazy :)
@RICKV1953 Larry Norman (the blonde) became quite an outspoken Christian and stayed involved in music. He had a very loyal following influencing many for Christ. Check out one of his later songs (even if yur not a Christian) called "I wish we'd all been ready"....It's here on YOUTUBE under his name Larry Norman. May Larry rest in peace.
