  • MAN, BLZ?

  • Joe would be proud of you man. :)

  • I can't understand a word he is saying, but is sounds fucking sick.

  • sou seu Fã brother !!!!!! vc é foda !

  • That's not really sweeping, it's economy picking and there are big disadvantages and most experienced guitarists recommends learning alternate first.

Of course it has advantages too.

  • Que Jesus possa te abençoar cada dia mais e mais.

  • Nice DeLorean :)

  • EH!! THERES A DELOREAN NEAR THE TV!!

  • @ShadowLancer128 yeah he's good, i always see him playing live once per year at the expo music here in são paulo, brazil.

    his lessons are great.

this must be harder for you to understand, 'cause he speaks portuguese, right?

  • @dethNiCk I ignore the language barrier by watching his hands, and comparing with what I already know.

  • @ShadowLancer128 yeah that's clever.

i learned english at a private school, i always watch paul gilbert and andy timmons classes and teachings.

i like that, because even the language being so different, music is universal. that's great!

where did you find the gustavo's video?

  • @dethNiCk I've known about Guerra for a while. I despise him because he's got every limited edition guitar in Ibanez's history. Jesus, the man's got money.

I just clicked on a link from a Steve Vai video.

    I mean- NOBODY should have a JEM10th, AND a JS10th. wtf.....

  • @ShadowLancer128 lol, he sold the JS ibanez.

    lol

his father was a musician, and knows many people, 'cause he's spanish and lived here in brazil, that's why he has so many guitars!

  • That sparkle you all see on the strings, it's from the guitar smiling back at him.

  • Excelente vídeo aula kra... Parabéns!

    Abraço...

  • whats that green thing at the nut??

  • @gnayiew95 a hair league

  • @gnayiew95 That looks like a fluffy rubber band. You know, elastic to hold your hair. Some people use it for muting notes you don't want to be heard whilst playing with two-hands technique.

  • @gnayiew95 ..that's a string dampener. it's used to stop unneccesary strings from ringing..

  • love your playing

  • @FCValle kkkkkkkk porra cara vc quase me mato sem folego! a guitarra dele usa xuxinha kkkkk ri d+

  • Fantastic! Gustavo, release a DVD with your lessons, but slower and with some good theory attached.

  • You are a musical genius and have one of the best tones ever! Plus, your playing is just electric!

  • nice lesson, though the english word for this type of picking is Economy Picking just to let you know. very effective for sure.

  • @aero3132 Hi! I did the subtitle for Gustavo's video and all those techniques was translated based in information extracted from Wikipedia. I'd appreciate your comment if I'm not using the proper word for such technique. Sometimes is really tough translate to English what Gustavo is saying, without change the meaning. So any comment on the translation will be highly appreciated. My gol is to make the translation as clear as possible for everyone understand. Thanks... :D

    Rock On...

  • very nice. i increased my legato cleanness along with my precision and stamina doing these exercises by quite a bit, and it only took me about 30 minutes, thanks G

  • You are a great teacher with great guitar skills. Keep on making lessons. They are really well done, with translation and close-ups. I subscribe from now on.

  • sweep-picking and directional picking are different things GGuerra. At least, in my point of view.

  • Simply amazing. You could put him in a pitch black room and still get the same result.

  • Is this a Guitar Lesson DVD ??

Gustavo Guerra I would really love to see a Eddie Van Halen Eruption Cover

    John

  • @JohnMusicGuitar Why? Haven't you had enough with the OTHER 50,000,000 "eRUPZKti0nS" covers out there?

  • faz uma lesson sobre alavanca

  • I'll email you when I get to it.

I'm the ONLY one who has transcribed this note for note start to finish accurately.

There's a lot of lessons here on YouTube but they're WAY OFF!

I have slowed it down to half speed and invite anyone to dispute a single note when I put it up.

I want to included segments of the original in the lesson but might not legally be able to.

Shopping for a good mic and HD camera at the moment. Email me if you want to be notified when I post it on my other account!

  • hahahaha...you make it sounds so easy. It's funny because when I pick my guitar up none of these stuff works...unfortunately my hands weren't made to play the guitar. But it's ok, I really enjoy your job. Congrats!

  • @GGuerra Thanks brother, that is a great trick of the trade I'm gonna use. I run into that ringing open string all the time and hate it. Umm and yeah I won't be running this on my live rig! LOL that is what the rhythm section is there for right? To cover our mistakes and blems! Props to the them, always for making us look good!

  • @GGuerra Is there a purpose for the hair tie at the nut?

  • @guitargeant to avoid noises of ringing strings while your making legato licks, you know, for legato phrasing you usually use more strength than for a picking lick, and it's harder to mute sometimes, so that hair tie will avoid open strings to ring an mess a godd idea or lick when you're recording something!

btw, most of people don't use it live, only for recordings...

  • Parabéns pela vídeo aula, Gustavo!

    Muito boa, muito explicativa!!!

    Exelente!!

  • Thanks for the subtitles. Itd be a shame if i couldnt learn from you cuz your awesome. And the "sweeping" your doing is actually called economy picking but it doesnt really matter.

  • Pow, gostei mto do vídeo, para eu foi mto útil pq toca já á algum tempo mas nunca fiz aulas.estudei somente em livros. Bela explicação!

  • I really hate most shredding. That being said everyone should watch this guys other videos. He is great & has a lot to teach. Govan is a great too, a tech master genious who I'm sure has a lot to teach also. For my liking I will take Alex Hutchings, Steffen Schackinger or Johnny A. for my listening enjoyment.

  • You should do lessons on vibrato.

    Yours is so great :)

want to learn that from you! :p

  • Awesome lesson, thanks a lot, I'm going to try right now!!!

  • lol all of this gibberish makes me feel like having an enchilada or a taco

guthrie govan would mop the floor with this spic ...

  • @plotchickens I gave you a thumbs down because you are obviously a racist and a moron who knows absolutely nothing about music or guitar. I am and have been a guitarist for over 50 years playing the last 16 years as a studio musician. Govan is better? How do you define "better"? ,,,,,,, There is no "better"in music, fucktard. Get an music education before you go making ignorant comments. Ok , I'm done with you now, ignorant hick, go back to fucking your sister.

  • As I politely explained to the last moron who responded to me on this video, my (asshole) cousin was trolling with my account during his last visit. He's been dealt with.

  • Love the Legato man !

    John Denner

  • que calibre de corda vc ta usando gustavo!

    me surpreendeu!

    abraço!

  • This is the BEST guitarist on the PLANT today. Gustavo, you rally are a fantastic guitar player. When you come to NAMM again, please PRIOR can you post which booths you will be at.

  • @mpaff best guitarist on the PLANT ey?

hes not even the 500th best ..... look up guthrie govan he takes up most of the places in the list because hes 100000 times better than this greasy mario

  • @plotchickens Kiko loureiro the best ever!

  • @plotchickens Apparently, you have no clue about playing a guitar, of technique. Your Guthrie Govan, although quite accomplished is not on this caliber. My suggestion to you, is take the cotton out of your ears, and listen to the facts. Since I am IN THE MUSIC industry, AND IN CHARGE OF TALENT AQUISITIIONS for a major lable, I would assume my extertise is quite a bit more than YOURS. Learn first before you speak. Read ALL of the postings, not just your babble, EY!

  • LOL, oh boy, I've just been lectured by an A&R wanker. I understand that being charged with the responsibility of sucking up to alleged 'talent' and drinking a lot of coffee might make you feel like you know a thing or two about music, but the truth is that the topic matter is insanely subjective. To say Govan isn't as good as this guy is retarded.

PS. The previous comment was posted by my cousin. I apologize and will try to keep him off my computer in future.

  • @plotchickens "I apologize and will try to keep him off my computer in future."

    hahahaha i laughed a lot, thanks god, i don't have a cousin! \o/ hahahaha

  • @plotchickens Greasy mario lol
