  • I think an arkanoid style boss could be cool. like bouncing off a padel trying to smash the blocks and avoiding a bouncing ball.

  • Nice level, But i got a few suggestions...

    Shouldn't you be able to hit the non-solid (sliver/gold) blocks for extra points

    Also, can you add some enemies?

    And what level would this be in the game?

  • Curse my hasty clicking...I meant to click pause and ended up rating this a one...No way this could be a one.  It's a 5/5 in my book!

  • Very nice. In some parts there could be "the ball", and it would be harmless to the player...but destroy blocks. If the blocks are placed correctly, in some places you'd be "losing ground" to the ball. Also, to simulate the "L" power pill, some of the Vaus platforms could turn around part of the time, and fire harmful lasers, so you have to be off the platform when it does so. Also, the metal ceiling from Arkanoid should be at the top of the screen, the doors could open up and pop out enemies

  • Well Mario did pilot one of those platforms in "Alleyway"

  • Congratulations, great video and level.

    I suggest to put some Metroid's enemies in the 2nd part (the auto-scrolling to top), specially that ones which walk on the walls, and for the 3rd part, some Megaman enemies (those who flies and looks like a can with eyes).

    Just one point: where is the Arkanoid's ball?

  • Finally, a level based on something that isn't as well known. Plus, it looks like a winner.

  • This level is a bit... Hmmh.

    The fact that the whole level is made out of Arkanoid blocks is not taken advantage of.

    There's no Arkanoid block breaking here, only what looks like Tetropolis without the clever use of Tetris Blocks.

    As for level placement... unless Nintendo Subspace can't have non-Nintendo secret stages, I'd put it there. If not, perhaps the Minus World?

    Voted 3/5, because it just feels like a generic level with an Arkanoid skin rather than an Arkanoid level.

  • A neat level. A worthy idea for MKF. I'd love to see the finished version make it into the final product.

    A suggestion for an enemy would be the ball, have turrets on the side that would shoot one or two, and only have those affect the blocks, not harm the player.

    The spacing on the blocks at 2:45 is a little off. Mario is a block above the floor. I'm sure it's a quick fix.

    Keep up the great work! Hope to see this in game.

  • Looks great! Can't wait to see what kind of enemies will be featured in that level.

  • Cool level. Another suggestion would be to possibly have some of the blocks be destroyed by jumping on them (grey ones need two or three hits to break). Either that or by jumping underneath them like blocks.

  • Level looks great, I don't see anything wrong with it, but I suggest the autoscrolling (at 1:00) is sped up a bit. Otherwise, it's good.

    By the way, What type of enemys will be in the level?
