The first time I saw The Ventures in person was in a small bar in the Ohio State University district. (It was the night of the grand finale' of the TV show M*A*S*H). I was disappointed to not see my hero Nokie, but after the show I was lucky enough to get to chat with Bob Bogle. I told him the "new guy" was very exhuberant, but then what guitar player getting to play with The Ventures wouldn't be....... It's like a pilot being invited to fly the space schuttle!
