Well, for someone who is new to Tamagotchis, i would suggest getting a version 1, 2, 3, 4 or 4.5.

They are the easiest and most fun to play with, try getting one on ebay.

Cool but do you have any of the 1997 Tamas? I've got all the connection ones as well but I really like the original ones the best, especially Tamagotchi Ocean and Tama. Forest (the Forest one is very difficult to raise, tho!). Plus of course Angelgotchi. They were neat because they had the tap-screen effect - if you saw a "bad guy" bothering your tamagotch, you had to tap rapidly on the screen to scare it off! hehe very cool. I am surprised after all this time they're not colored screens yet!

I have a question. If you take the battery out of the tamagotchi when its low and its at its teenager stage , and you put a new battery in, will your tamagotchi not grow anymore, or do you have to replace the battery really quick? Thanks

@Iceboy575655 dun worry after you take the battery out, you can take your time changing the battery when you put the battery back in,the tamagotchi starts up,it will show you an egg,which you should press the middle button and select the Download option,if you want your tama back,after that it will still grow normally.
