Noting that all I posit is unsupported speculation, let us engage. Last point first. I'll suggest that the Smartest people, to help maintain a higher signal/noise ratio, do not assist the SotS to get on the internet, so internet IQ remains slightly higher than the global mean.
2nd we've no metric to define 'valuable comment'. Annoying though they be, some seemingly ignorant or hateful comments might be valuable if they are the catalyst for discussion or debate. Perhaps even "1ST!" has value?
I have to ask - because I just don't know: Is stupidity contagious? Lets say, hypothetically, someone with an IQ of 100 was exposed to people of a lower IQ for several hours - would their IQ decrease?
If so - I would argue that since those just above the cutoff for minimum intelligence appear to make a lot of noise, this may also affect those with higher IQs, bringing them (and so the average internet IQ) down.
If not, then you're right, the majority of internet users are intelligent.
2nd - It could be argued that since any comment contains more information than no comment, it is therefore more valuable.
On the other hand, relevance to a topic will also increase value, so "1ST!", which is almost completely irrelevant and contains virtually no information at all, is one of the least valuable comments it is possible to make.
I would also argue that politeness, objectivity, and to a lesser extent spelling and grammar, also add value. (cont.)
Unfortunately - this means that the actual value of a comment would be be extremely hard to quantify.
I suppose a user who posts lots of comments of relatively low value (no information, relevance, etc) will have a low average value for their comments, and the few interesting discussions that do result will make little difference overall.
On the other hand a user who posts fewer, but more valuable, comments will be more likely to start discussions, and will have a higher average comment value.
Unfortunately I can't say that anything I posit is anything more than unsupported speculation on my part, but this has been interesting so far. Thanks!

Thank you very much, UNFFwildcard. I look forward to the upcoming parts. I totally agree with you on the part of persecution at the end. Hearing Christians like VFX scream persecution when there were people like Kolbe who went through far worse is outrageous.
Oh, and I can't help the irony of bringing up Kolbe, since he died saving Jews in the Holocaust. I wonder if VFX would say that Kolbe was going against God's wrath since he believes that the Jews brought the Holocaust on themselves?

Good video, as per usual. I rather enjoyed your observation of historical martyrs, it's always irked me to see people claim persecution over such little things that they themselves have caused. Anne Frank and Thích Quảng Đức were martyrs, not this kid that people are being mean to on the internets.

The problem with Shawn is that he is inexperienced in ministry and he needs to mature. He is good at evangelizing but creationism is not his strong point nor, will it win any souls.
I did not like DPRJones insulting him because it was remniscent of trolling which happens too often. I feel sorry for the dude because, I think despite his mistakes, his intention was positive. He should just give himself time to grow but, at this point, no more YT for him.

Yep, I expect he'll be back, too. I'm neither Xtian or athiest, so have been entertained (and disapponted) by the great YT GOd/noGod debate. I enjoy hearing both perspectives when they're offered in a civil manner, which is why I subbed you UNFF. Your plea to VFX was the first vid I found from you. Just prior to seeing it, I had finished writing a private message to VFX asking him to reconsider his methods so he might be more successful at what his stated goals were. He blocked me for it.

Of course I repudiate your claim.
The IQ of those using the internet mirrors the IQ of the worlds population therefore we can expect that the average IQ of an internet user is at the least, Average.
Further, a user needs a modicum of tech ability and literacy to participate in a forum such as this thus filtering out the stupidest of the stupid and so probably raising the IQ level of internet users slightly above that of the world mean.
Hence, most on the internet are intelligent.

It could be that the most stupid people still remaining - after the "Stupidest of the Stupid" are culled by the requirements to use the Internet - are also the most vocal...which would explain why a lot of the people you hear on the internet are idiots. The smart ones tend keep their mouths shut unless they have something valuable to say.
There's also the problem of smart people helping stupid people to get on here.

Noting that all I posit is unsupported speculation, let us engage. Last point first. I'll suggest that the Smartest people, to help maintain a higher signal/noise ratio, do not assist the SotS to get on the internet, so internet IQ remains slightly higher than the global mean.
2nd we've no metric to define 'valuable comment'. Annoying though they be, some seemingly ignorant or hateful comments might be valuable if they are the catalyst for discussion or debate. Perhaps even "1ST!" has value?

I have to ask - because I just don't know: Is stupidity contagious? Lets say, hypothetically, someone with an IQ of 100 was exposed to people of a lower IQ for several hours - would their IQ decrease?
If so - I would argue that since those just above the cutoff for minimum intelligence appear to make a lot of noise, this may also affect those with higher IQs, bringing them (and so the average internet IQ) down.
If not, then you're right, the majority of internet users are intelligent.

2nd - It could be argued that since any comment contains more information than no comment, it is therefore more valuable.
On the other hand, relevance to a topic will also increase value, so "1ST!", which is almost completely irrelevant and contains virtually no information at all, is one of the least valuable comments it is possible to make.
I would also argue that politeness, objectivity, and to a lesser extent spelling and grammar, also add value. (cont.)

Unfortunately - this means that the actual value of a comment would be be extremely hard to quantify.
I suppose a user who posts lots of comments of relatively low value (no information, relevance, etc) will have a low average value for their comments, and the few interesting discussions that do result will make little difference overall.
On the other hand a user who posts fewer, but more valuable, comments will be more likely to start discussions, and will have a higher average comment value.
