I'm currently living in Canada and being educated @ two of the most reputable Canadian universities.My conclusion is that there are no jobs for Canadians or Immigrants in Canada. The Question here: Why the Canadian government is still bringing is quarter a million immigrants a year? Answer: Those immigrants bring green dollars in with them. Period. Tons of "Rich" Immigrants fromAsia and Middle East. They come, buy houses, send their kids to Univ BUT there are no jobs for them. See the Trick!!

The Canadian government, allied with business interests, is bringing too much immigrants to Canada in order to create a vast army of cheap unemployed/sub-employed workers.

The Canadian job market is not based on meritocracy but on"networking", an euphemism for corruption. There are no objective knowledge tests in this country, only "resume evaluations", the subjective backbone of the "network system".

Except for aboriginals, all Canadians are immigrants. Why should we view new immigrants as any less than old immigrants?

On top of that, we should promote aboriginals as equals, but we are behind on that, too.

What I can say in our defense is that at least we are working to improve things. There are countries like Japan which don't allow immigration!

Im an immigrant myself from Croatia. I know for a fact that schools in Europe are much harder than schools in Canada. Immigrants have just as many skills, if not more, than canadian-born citizens.

Canada has taken in a lot of good immigrants over the past few years, but the big problem is that our government has taken too many, to the point where it is having a negative effect on the quality of life here in Canada.

Immigration should be stopped until our unemployment rate is down to 3%, and our social programs are no longer operating in the red. Too much of anything becomes a poison, and too much immigration has poisoned Canada.

This doesnt help as immigrants have skills in their field of study in different aspects of the same area. For ex. If I am a geologist and have experience in Iron ore or coal exploration or mines and when you come to canada there are no jobs in these areas where as some one having experience in Gold or diamonds exploration or petroleum exploration has jobs so when employers only look for experience in these areas esp. advanced level your geologist experience in your home country doest count...

Go out and find a job? Are you some sort of idiot? That's the point of the commercial. People with medical training should be working as doctors/nurses and this is not happening. A lot of our professionals go down to the US because the pay. More medical professionals is what our system is in dire need of. And that's just the medical profession, there are countless more examples. It would only benefit our country to recognize the credentials and skills many immigrants have.
