You need a really nice video camera for this no just brains and a script that is memorized that you are sailing your self to your agent. Usually your acting workshop if it is any good can help you in this area if they cant find another class to do business with after all there taking up your precious time.
start looking for an agent hint really no serious agent who is going to be tremendous for you would usually take someone who has never had lines in the movies tv or short films . So this is where you create your own demo called a reel for your agent your going for.
after you take your self acting workshop then you can start asking your coach or school teacher who is the best photographer they can recommend for you?
Cause hint they just cant act well there is a solution for that its called take a acting workshop a beginning one and work your way up to advanced and then get your self a acting coach. Also learn the difference between a monologue inprov and comedy routines, Its like saying im here to perform a monologue with more then one person and the director or producer is like what the heck dont you mean dialogue?

i've hear the "no guarantees" from tons of actors, including my drama teacher. i dont believe it. i think acting's like anything else, you get what you put into it. if you half ass your efforts and work, you wont get a job, but if you put your time in to learn, develop characters, etc you'll find something somewhere, AND eventually you might get a role that you've always wanted BECAUSE you put in that effort.

Sounds like you want to act, but you are only willing to go so far for it. That is respectable because you know your limits. But there are some people who want it bad enough to sacrifice money, career, etc.... yet no guarantee's they will ever "make it" in that field. I think it's good to know what your getting yourself into so you can make the best choice for you whether or not to pursue it.

This girl had NO EXPERIENCE in acting, however she was VERY lucky to land her first acting gig in the female lead role for the 2008 Movie of the Year, Slumdog Millionaire.
If you want to act, then go for it, but be honest about it. Don't do it for wealth and fame.
