How to add more brushes to The Gimp!

Check every folder. You have to find .abr files somewhere.

Well you are basically looking for any folder that is called Gimp.

Do a folder search for it, and hopefully that works!

If you're getting a message like that, you most likely need administrative privileges.

I did everything exactly as you said and my new brushes are in my brushes folder in Gimp 2.6 but it doesn't show up when i actually try to get them on Gimp

Well, you obvoiusly have to have the Gimp closed in the first place. Maybe that is what happened? Or maybe they're in the wrong folder? The new brushes have to be there if you followed everything I said to. Try scrolling to the bottom or something.
