I like beyonce and her voice very much. She is very humble all the time (if its an act or not- I dont know, but thats what I see and I like the texture of her voice, but not so much her latest music.

Another thing is she just not in the league of the people the person above mentioned. So obviously its easier for her to sing her songs properly.

1995 was a tough year musically. Alanis Morissettes's new album was groundbreaking. she took the grammy's home that year. although i love mariah's daydream album it didn't present any new distinctive style. it was pure "tommy formula" without any real memorable songs and strong lyrics. which i think people had enough of after 5 years of mariah doing the same music... Hence he following "Honey" album got rave reviews for it's fresh style and deep lyrics..

Daydream actually had hints of urban and some hip hop, which was new and how the hip pop style came along, so it still had the pop ballads and pop stuff in it, but still it was less pop focused like her first 3, even though it still was a predomintaly a "pop album". And Fantsay and One Sweet Day are considered some of the best songs of the 90's and billboard named OSD as the song of the decade, but yeah alanis morisstte did some groundbreaking things.
