OK, nothing can beat old good Indiana Jones films of the 80's but this one was great as well. It represents modern Adventure movie with a lot of action scenes. Harrison Ford, my lovely Karen Allen, Shia LaBeouf and John Hurt did wonderfully brilliant job.

Harrison says, "Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and myself are agreed on what the 5th adventure will concern and George is actively at work." Harrison also says, If the script is good, I'll be happy to put the constume on again." I hope Shia is in it.

The first three Indy films were way better than this one. There was a lot of anticipation for this movie and it blew! Iron Man and the Dark Knight were way better.The only movie I have seen on your short list was Date Movie and I only paid 1 dollar for it. It was worth 1 dollar.
As a hardcore fan, I can honestly say, there were parts that made me say, "dohhh". Regardless, I still enjoyed the movie and I look forward to adding the dvd to my collection.
This is the only movie I went to a theater to see and I enjoyed it very much. I never saw any of the previous 3 until one came on TV. I think Harrison is great in this, he's still in good shape, a little out of practice with his rescuing skills but he gets them back fast. I like everything about this movie and have seen it 3 times and will see it a 4th tonight. Love the updated theme too. Also, if Shia is to be Indy's replacement I think he'll do great.

wasn't that great i thought. the originals are still the best. the plot wasn't very climatic. 1.5h into the movie and i was like "what? it's finishing already? we haven't even seen anything!" and c'mon, fridges surviving a nuclear blast. gimme a break. how far-fetched can this get. and the ark, sankara stones and grail don't count as far-fetched when compared to blue alien heads.
The film critics are totally wrong about this great film. They also blew it on Wild Hogs. I am beginning to see a pattern here. We just saw it and you will not be dissapointed. It is a fantastic 'FAMILY' action film of Indy proportions and what appears to be his prodigy for sequels. Hang on for more 'Indy'. The critics are out of touch with FAMILY society. 126 mil opening weekend just proves it. Go INDY!

Im sure the gore lvl is down (no bald nazi guys sliced by a propeller etc.) humour lvl is upped, and all the clichés are repeated and that's it. The only really positive thing to me is that Karen Allen is back, I loved her in the first Indy film.

They didn't all just get killed. Several people accuse the Swiss of harboring them under their neutrality rule.

I'll admit, I'm still kinda worried. My intuition hunger is not yet satisfied. I'll wait for another trailer b-4 I actually decide. I was a big Star Wars fan, but to this day...I did not watch all the prequils. We just see how this one works for LucasArts.

I get the same vibe from this one I got from all the others. Especially when he tried to swing onto the jeep with his whip and naturally started flailing because he missed, that just brought back that classic mix of action and humor.

god.. I used to at least respect Blunty's opinions but he is way too positive about every overhyped movie that coming out. Compared to the old clips the new clips look stiff, and formulaic like a made for TV Indiana Jones. I can even hear it in his voice that he wasn't that impressed.

I hear ya.I think i lost any interest in blunty's opinions on movies when he lost his shit over transformers.I actually saw transformers based on that review and was sorely disappointed (shitty humor throughout & the action was edited such that you couldn't tell what was happening).This new one looks like superhero crap instead of old fashioned pulp fun.

from what I've seen in the trailer, this movie seems like it has a little more slapstick comedy than the others. whether its sort of spoofing the older movies or not may be the deciding factor of whether i like it or not

Okay, I'll step up to the nerdiness plate here. ;)
The new animated (CG) series is going to cover the Clone Wars.
The new LIVE ACTION series, however, will be set between Episodes 3 & 4 and cover the years between the prequel trilogy and the original trilogy.
In short, we're getting a BUTTLOAD more Star Wars in the next few years. And I couldn't be happier. :D

I feel a bit better after seeing the trailer. I didn't think they would get Harrison Ford for it! That makes me really happy! I don't think he would have done it if it were as shitty as, say, the first Star Wars remake. I'm pleasantly surprised.
