Personally, I thought the whole River Song plot was a mess.
If all it takes to make a Timelord baby is a shag while in the timestream, then I'm surprise the Doctor isn't hosting orgies in the TARDIS to repopulate his race. May not be perfect, but it's better than extinction and leaving the universe to the mercy of the Daleks.
Also, the 10th Doctor clone was 50% human, certainly more than whatever percentage of Timelord DNA that River had, but even he only had one heart and zero regeneration.

@GMExcellent I don't know, I just thought that the idea was too easy to think up. My friend and I have an entire alternate universe that respects every story arc in the episodes leading up to A Good Man Goes to War, where Rory is the son of the Doctor and River. We just thought it was too obvious for River to be Amy and Rory's daughter, and the name Melody....augh...as adorable I think Rory will be as an awkward dad, it was just a bit too guessable for our tastes.

@bellalysewinchester i totally understand. i mean now that the whole episode is over we can't have any more theories or fantasies about who river would actually be. in a way i guess it is sort of a let down but i'm glad that she is who she is
