  • I CAN play this, and I gotta tell you, this is a DISGRACE!!! If I were Keith I'd have this crap shut down. This is an EMBARASSING vocal duet ( a WHAT????) NEVER meant to be MUZAKED!!! Just awful....I've been playing this since I was 13, and this is just awful. I do like the part where the piano player puts in a little Atropos from the 3 Fates on the 1st ELP album. Other than that, PLEASE STOP THAT HORRID SCAT SINGING!!!!! This is NOT Oscar Peterson and Ella Fitzgerald!

  • Marvellous!!

  • Fantástica Adaptación...Enhorabuena!!!

  • Fantástica Adaptación...Enhorabuena!!!

  • strepitoso!

  • This is brilliant! I love the transition to swing, at the end of the piano improvazations, and keeping it strong to the end!!! i can honestly say that I have never heard a cover of an ELP song that I considered done well. You have gone BEYOND well done!!!

Thank you for displacing that attitude!!!

  • Brilliant!

  • were cen i get the notes for the piano??

  • Magnificent.

  • Manhattan Transfer meets ELP - excellent! Very well done.

  • Wow!!!!!!! Great arrangement skillfully performed! All top notch musicians! Beautiful lady is a bonus! ;-)

  • Espectacular, maravilloso, hermosa voz!!

  • Vive la France !

  • Brilliant.

  • i wrote 'amazing' on my laptop screen, instead of typing it here, this is not a song u could hear, every now n then, this is trilogy

  • Incrível!!!

  • Oh...my...god...

  • @DearLyns his name is Thierry Eliez Man!

  • Maravilhoso!!!!

  • Eliez (piano) mon Beethov' des temps modernes...

  • @sistania74 on a le même !

  • Seldom can we hear such powerful interpretations of major works in the field of progressive rock music genre. Sit back and let this ensemble peel back your scalp... Le ROCK a ses lettres de noblesses et ses flambeaux portés par des légions... à n'en jamais douter !

  • what a great of one of the best tracks ever written

  • OMG!! This is the first time I've seen this group. They are really talented.

  • I am so impressed with this group. I have never written a YouTube post before...this is my first...but, I felt compelled to write because I was so moved by this performance. Thank you! I hope to hear more from Jad and Den Quintet!

  • I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • love the piano playin, as for the vocals try miming that myt go down better

  • Brilliant. The pianist is awesome.

  • @ajmarlow The bloke who wrote was pretty shit hot too.

  • @ajmarlow You're daily right !

  • Incredible! I enjoyed this very, very much!

  • Wow

  • I went to get my fix of this brilliant song by ELP (nothing like it on earth) and came across this cover. Yes, I must admit - it is good, not crazy about the vocal treatment. It gets a little too "manhattan transfer-esque." I don't DISlike it. The pianist KILLS it, the bass, very good instrumentals. As much as I love jazz (I grew up with it and played it on the piano) there's something about taking the brilliant song 'Triology' and making it sound like birdland. Not hatin' - just sayin'

  • excellent! comment rendre encore meilleur un morceau génial!!

  • Amazing version, of very dificult ELP classic.

The singer is very sensual and pretty woman.

    Congratulations!!!!!

  • Very good version. Excellent cover. After 39 years I'm glad to listen to a fantastic interperation. My best compliment.

  • ljudi ovo je STVARNO jako dobro. drago mi je da netko jos sluša sjajne bendove. greetings from Croatia!

  • ANYONE GOT THIS GIRLS PHONE NUMBER?? ;p

  • I can play like this in my sleep...

now if only I could play like this when I'm awake ; )

  • @Lightmane321 LOLOL!

  • fantastic :)

  • wow... amazing cover!!!!

  • How about playing " Take a Pebble" by ELP ?

  • That's an Incredible version of Trilogy. I have been listening to ELP for 37 years and you just blew me away. Thanks for sharing.

  • Brilliant rendition.... very good jazz singer too!

  • Impressive. Excellent musicianship and the girl hit every note the piano played. She is a major talent!

  • Magnifique!!!!!!!!! Fantastique!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    とても じょず です!!! 本当に!!!

Long Live Emerson, Lake and Palmer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Merci from Florida, USA

  • Genial

  • Muy buueno

  • WOW! I stumbled onto this and was blown away. What wonderful respect for the original work while providing a spin their own. And that lady has the most expressive eyes since Karen Carpenter.

I am not saying I just found my favorite new group. I am saying I found a new entry in my top 10!

(and speaking of which, how is it possible 10 people disliked this?)

  • Gave me chills and brought tears to my eyes. Beauty. ELP would like what you've done. Thank you! Merci!

  • Dime si no es una OBRA DE ARTE...MAGISTRAL EXCELENTE//APLAUSOS

  • This is FANTASTIC!!!!

  • yeah...great song, brilliant re-thinking of the original

  • Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant. Keith Emerson should be made aware of the great compliment you have paid him.! Thank you for sharing this with us.

  • Amazing . Good work congratulations ,,,,

  • Man, that was great. One of my alltime favorite ELP songs and album. This piece was so difficult to play live that I think ELP quit performing this after the tour to promote Trilogy. I have never heard a live performance of Trilogy after 1973. Anyways, a brilliant interpretation of this Jad&Den Quintet.

  • i could do that-been doing it on my own for 40 years. but lovely to hear

just discovered this access to music(yes a bit slow) am having a lovely time - with head phones so no one can hear!

  • Tres bon! I appreciate any musician who can take something familiar and re-envision it as something new like you have done. Excellent job.

  • fucking song! wtf!

  • Absolutely spectacular!! Tremendous rendition of an ELP classic.

  • Just sublime....Take a great song and just improve on it....No small achievement...

  • is the drummer using the "peruvian box", amazing sounds, outstanding band

  • They are all possesed by musical devils...they are superhuman...how the heck can the singer scat what the pianist is doing? How can they remember it all? It's like reading a book from front cover to back then reciting it back again word for word without having it in front of you.

  • Is there a recording of this available in stereo?

  • Freaking awesome!

  • this chick has a manwoman's voice

  • really magnificent, hats off!

  • One needs to get their information correct. Emerson never approached Ginestara for permission to do Fanfare, since it was Copeland who wrote it.

What he did do was to approach him for permission to do Toccata & Fugue, which in fact is what he wrote.

  • Amazing! Thank you!

  • That was AMAZING!

  • That was AMAZING!

  • Just like Keith approached the great Alberto Ginastera for his approval of Fanfare and many other pieces he preformed in his honor JadnDen is doing the same with Trilogy a progressive rock master piece. I am not sure if Keith Greg or Carl heard this but I am 100 percent sure they would love and approve. This is truly great and I love the scat too

  • NO ...... ok?

  • Bravissimi. Unica critica.. Siate meno didascalicamente espressivi durante l' esecuzione. Siete musici, non attori cinematografici. Complimenti reiterati a Voi.

  • Pretty good until they started singing.

  • This is awesome!!! If you´re playin live in Germany pls let me know. Love to come to hear you. What a joy!!!

  • What a great job they did with an ELP Master Piece unreal CLAP CLAP CLAP

  • @spizzetto93 - sei soltanto un povero imbecille che non capisce un cazzo di musica! Almeno un pò di buon senso... hai perso una buona occasione per non fare una figura di merda!

  • Perfec performance

  • Perfec performancet

  • ANDATE A FANCULO MUSICA DI MERDA

  • @spizzetto93

    tutta invidia, pischè!

  • One of ELP's most beautiful and underrated compositions. The original is sublime. This wonderful interpretation sends shivers down my spine.....Thierry Eliez is a master, and Celine is magnificent.

  • Really goooood!

  • Great music! And the chick's hot too!

  • I am blown away by this performance of Trilogy! It completely preserves the spirit of the original arrangement, yet breaks away with blazing virtuosity and style.

  • редкостная хуйня. оригинал - гениален.

  • My faith has returned! I still believe that there are musicians out there that really get it. I thought real instruments and vocal performance was retired in favor of Guitar Hero. Hope lives on for musical masterpieces! Kudos Jad and Den. Keep them coming!

  • fantastic interpretation of the ELP classic

  • Excellent.

  • En plus les images de toutes vos vidéos sont très belles et d'un traitement subtile !

    J'adore !!!!

  • exelente!!!!!!

  • thanks, good job !

    keith

  • Superbe adaptation !

    Bravo.

  • So nice !

    Luc Kken ~ Photographer.

  • no no!

    really gross,

    The original is a prayer.

  • this girl is gorgeous!

  • @hmpy it's about music, not the singer you moron.

  • In a new way again you realize and hear the genius of this music. Tanks a lot!

  • I agree that this is a kick-ass interpretation of this song. I've watched most of the Jad&Den covers of other rock songs and, IMHO, this one works the best.

  • WOW! Trilogy sung in Skat, what an amazing accomplishment!! That guy RIPS on the keys, I got a kick out of him shaking out his wrist at 4:58. I think Keith would approve of the improv. A brilliant rendition of a prog masterpiece, I'm glad I found it!

  • That's just amazing!

  • Wow!!! Amazing! the best version of this song, I think

  • Nice!!!! My son (keyboards and vocals) and his friend (violin) have just started a band and are going to try this. Thanks for this version...it'll guide them in their attempt.

    Well done!!!!!!!!

  • WOW!!!! what a great piece :) you not only complement ELP with this ..... you also give it your own unique treatment ...... thanks for this ..... excellent!! :)

  • If someone has something bad to say....get a life and that is live!!!

    Hats off to these guyz!!!!

  • sh*g the vicar! a Fazioli!!!!!!!!! How much money?

  • If this is live, it's exquisititely rehearsed.

  • Fantastic tribute to a masterpiece by ELP. I think Keith Greg and Carl would love it

  • FAVOLOSIIIII!!!!

  • @serverusable is this good or bad?

  • THANK YOU. That was beautiful.

  • Bravo! The woman is stunningly beautiful, the musicians are top notch, the arrangement is exquisite, and the selection is tasteful. I'd pay good money to see these guys play, forget a restaurant!

  • Very Good, great cover

  • i like, i like, i like, i like!!! this was wonderful.

  • Very nice. Bien travaille!

I like how it's the music not the technology that comes through on this verson.

  • I would like to see this performance in a small restaurant in Shenzhen, China.

  • this girl is fuckin HOY

  • very beautiful

  • An excellent interpretation of one of ELP's best pieces. I like the way in which they use their voices to compliment the instrumentation in the second and third parts. Kind of reminds me of Tania Maria the brilliant Brazilian pianist.

  • A brilliant interpretation of Trilogy. Glad to see people still appreciating ELP's genius.

  • Fantastic - and so heartwarning to see that Coronation Streets Tracey Barlow has managed to carve herself a new carreer in the music industry!

Seriously, a superb adaptation of one of my favourite pieces of music from ELP, long may they reign.

  • ..j'aime bien beaucoup, veramente bravi , congratulations.

  • I was an ELP nut in my teens in the mid-70s...and actually just saw Emerson and Lake together a couple of months ago her in Las Vegas.

What this group has done with "Trilogy" is stunning! What an unlikely tune to choose to cover in the first place. I always like the song, but this cover brings out another depth of beauty. I stumbled across this while searching for something else. I don't recall the last time I have been this surprised and delighted by a new piece of music. Magnificent!

  • My jaw is on the floor.

    I got goosebumps all over...

    God...that made my entire week!

  • This is really amazing well played

  • just incredible..you need to play New York!

  • Great music continues to be reinterpreted. This is joyful stuff. Thank you for letting me see it.

  • The person below who said this version butchers ELP is hopefully joking, or is a complete and utter idiot! With a name like acoustic bob, well, what do you expect? These musicians are incredible, sensitive, insightful! Beautifully executed!

  • What a MASTERPIECE! What an AMAZING interpretation of Keith Emerson's piece. I've had the Trilogy record since I was 10 yrs old, and I've always wanted to hear another band do it! This piano player is absolutely AWESOME. Thank you!

  • This has to be worth another comment. An incredibly interesting version of a complex composition. Well done to everyone concerned.

  • Amazing. My only disappointment is that I can't find any albums by the Jad & Den Quintet.

  • magnificent! A beautiful tribute to great music. The vocal harmonies and strings bring so much passion to this amazing and wonderful piece.

  • Sorry, but this is not very good at all. The woman's voice is very low and it doesn't elevate the music at all. The pianist then rushes certain parts that should be played more slowly. This version butchers ELP!!

  • I never knew anyone else had listened as deeply to this song as I have done.

Exquisite rendering. They show true love for this music.

    Fantastic!

  • A most beautiful colaborative moment

    Darrell

  • Very elegant version of ELP! Bravo!

  • Absolutely magnificent!!! The correct way to pay to pay tribute to this kind of music these days in my opinion, ie acoustically, with suitable attention to dynamics. Sorry to mention it, but having a beautiful and talented girl vocalist helps things along nicely. A knockout. Please do more - and tour the uk?... especially Manchester.

  • Wow prog is sexy!

  • I'm speechless all I can say is WHICH ONE IS JAD AND WHICH ONE IS DEN

  • PURA MIERDA QUE ASCO

  • TAL-GENN! (phenomenal).

Excellent interpretation of a "classic" "progressive" piece. I especially like how you managed to make it sound great without synthesisers.

  • I grab this performance and put into my heart.... :)

  • Holy Sh*t....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Phenomenal jazzy adaptation of a progressive rock classic. If ELP has not heard this group, they should because it simply doesn't get any better than this. Bravo performance!

  • She is quite beautiful. I'm speechless on her acceptance, ownership, and lyrical delivery of the work. Closeups on handsome excellent musicans and an intelligent self-deprecation on the part of the leader who does not focus on his own face. He is France and I am Florida. My best, mon ami.

  • A visual reference to Keith's ailing right hand. The shit smarts, I know. Don't lose the hand Keith.

  • A reference to Keith's Lachesis from The Three Fates.

  • I heard Duke Ellington's Othello.

  • Has Keith seen this?

  • Super......super......belo....belo...belo

  • Wonderful,love it

  • Tremendous.

    Oh, man.

I feel like my brain just got run over by a truck.

  • OMG O_O perfect.

fantastic pianist (a part from little mistakes, but is wonderful the same)

the singer, the drummer ant the cellist , all veeeery good *___*

  • I sing it in the shower in my improvisational way... So freaking perfect... Come to Tampa... I'll be there on my feet....

  • Lovely, really well done.

  • amazing! loved it!

  • I'm almost speechless. Formidable!!!

    Greetings from Rio, Brazil.

    - c.a.t.

  • what?

  • Simply superb!

  • this version just showes us how great ELP's music ws and still is,i think in 200years emerson will be named in one breath with people like strauss,prokofjef,musorsky....

ELP compositions transferred to classical instrumentation make really great works!

  • This is indeed a superb arrangement that shows not just a great performance, but a great composition. And yes, Keith Emerson's work will live on for centuries.

  • I've seen a lot of your videos. This is by far superior.

  • Brilliant musicianship coupled with an iconoclastic interpretation that reinvents Trilogy and makes it your own. Those scat vocals are amazing, too.

  • Fantastic!!! Excellent arrangement, and musicianship!!
