@JonasBrossohot . I'm pretty sure it's "A la volonte du peuple." Literally "To the Will of the People." I just saw the San Leandro High School (California) production of Les Miserables, and I just had to look up this song and listen to it again (and again)!

He was born and raised in what we calls Felvidék (the highlands) that is part of Slovakia now.(It was taken from Hungary at the Trianon peace treaty). He came to Hungary after finishing highschool, and gaind acceptance to the Academy (University) of Theatrical arts... He played everything from musicals, to small cabaret jokes, to Shakespeare, and was great in whatever he did. He was truly the best of his generation. (and a couple of before and after him.)

Oh, Sasi was my big love in my teenager years.

What I know that withina certain frame every director has some freedom to express what they see in a particular play. I remember the year before LesMiz was put on they did JesusChristSuperstar in a rather modern way and the producers of LezMis (C. Mackintosh) wouldn't allow the same director get on his hands on (however succesful JesusCS was)...they ended up hireing(spelling?sorry, my english is rusty) a director with much more classical style...

Why is the staging in Hungary so different?

Because the original premier in Hungary was an open air performance stagen on a square before the Dome in Szeged, and they had to take the wiew of the church in consideration when planning the scene.

yes.. Warlow is great.

But Warlow is an original musical actor.

singing is his job.

This guy was one of the best drama actor here in Hungary. Shakespeare, Tenessee Williams, Shaw, Miller, Beckett, etc.

Singing just an additional role.. he was great... not a learned, sophiticated voice just a multitalented actor. Played Tony form WSS, Engineer of Miss Saigon, Enjolras, Claude of Hair etc.
