  • It's a gua bao (刮包)! Aka the Taiwanese version of a hamburger- steamed bun with pork belly inside. Delicious!

  • Are you initially from Canada? I sense a slight Canadian accent.

  • I'm not drunk!... You're cute, Kevin! But why eat Chinese food in Japan? Besides, specifically the "guo bao" here is Taiwanese, called correctly "gua bao" (GUA not GUO,) sometimes called "lotus wrap" by other Chinese, because the steamed dough part resembles folded lotus leaf. Bon Appetit!

  • its mainly chinese bun with char siu (: sandwich..

  • more kevin eating food videos please...

  • In Kobe China Town located in Japan what dialect do the Chinese community speak? I assume they speak Japanese to communicate with everyone in the country but do they speak something dfferent at home? ex. Cantonese, Fujinese, or just mandarin like main land china and Taiwan?

  • to be honest, I'm not really sure. I don't speak Chinese. There are several chinese people in my Japanese language class. Some are from Beijing, others from more southern parts of China.

  • Chinatown in Japan?

  • do you have a girlfriend? In all of your videos you are by yourself.

  • I'm actually married, but my wife chooses not to be in my videos :)

  • if its ok...can u tell me if ur wife is jap or not? i think i listen to her talking in few vids X3

  • I had one of those in china town in Chicago! It was more of a filled dumpling there though. They also did green onion and ham which was pretty good too. another great vid!

  • Awesome! Thanks for watching and enjoying :)

  • I was always really surprised at how expensive steamed buns are in Japan. Especially the Chinese variety and being Chinese, I can say.. it doesn't taste very well.. chinesy (yes, I know it isn't a word)

  • it's basically Siopao, but instead of having the bun entirely cover the meat - so it just looks like a nornmal sandwich.

  • Right on. I honestly know very little about CHinese food....but am open to learn :)

  • good stufff

  • Yum! Is bread made with rice flour?

More food videos would be awesome!!

  • I'm planning my next Japanese food vid right now....not sure what to eat though.

  • Some mochi stuff??? It's quite mysterious over here!! :D

  • That stuff wasn't like mochi. it was like regular bread.

  • I was replaying to your message "not sure what to eat". I was suggesting mochi, lol. :D We don't have mochi over here so it would be interesting! :P :))) I mean, when do Japanese people eat them? With green tea? What time of the day? As a dessert? Snack? Special occasion? :)

  • That looks really good. Makes me want to try one! :)

  • Head to the China town nearest you and do it up!

  • that looks delicious

  • It was :)

  • That was a Chinese McRib. I bet it was good.

  • Hehe...good point! It was a little small, but did the trick.

  • LOL, there is a china town in Korea.

Is there like a European town fallowing the same fashion? Not to be confused with the Victorian houses deal.

  • This Chinatown is in KObe, Japan close to my apartment.

But...I remember there being Chinatowns in Korea too!

  • $2.5 dolars

is that what every one pays or

    the pricese sudenly goes up

    for westerners.

  • That's what everyone pays. The prices are clearly market. Eating in Japan is expensive no matter where you are.

  • is uk part of the western world ?
