He feels he is to blame because he performed Inception on Mal, he planted the idea that the world they live in is a dream, and to wake from the dream, they must kill themselves. No wonder he feels so angry and sad when Mal jumps. Plus he was framed by Mal to make it look like Cobb killed her!
