I'm wearing the truth and I'm going to ask you to to prove you are wearing true confidence by being the confident man you PRETEND to be by meeting with Charlie Sheen. If his 20 questions pose no threat to your spectacle of acting the Mr. likable, just have the meeting with him. - You cannot address irrefutable facts however, that's why you don't.
Not to defend Obama, but to evaluate both parties fairly; Aren't any of the candidates who run for President overly confident at times? All of us need to see if Obama is a blessing or burden for this country. Maybe he's confident for the right reasons, maybe he's an arrogant man. Just as no one likes an arrogant man, no one should like an overly timid man. Timidity would be a sign of weakness. Weakness is worse than timidity
I'm a nonpartisan and I don't vote! I just want to ask everyone out there to ask yourself if you are not affected by Obama's strong charisma.
Look at the history of any charismatic but infamous politicians in the world history and make your own judgement. This person is full of charisma but he is indeed empty. Make your own observation around you. Many voters liked him for no reason. Don't become one of his blind followers. It can be dangerous.
Could you imagine if Hillary has said she went into a small town in Alabama and a black man asked her about al-Qaeda instead of fried chicken? Or if a woman asked her about the dangers of socialism instead of aprons?
Being from Iowa - I do find this VERY offensive - his arrogance is out of control!
This a small town person who is very Bitter - Bitter about his comments and the way he looks down on those who have not been lucky enough to have his education and opportunities.
vote for Obama and make compulsory completion of High school education to prepare America for this new century. and reduce crime and prevent (mis-) leaders like bush and cheyney.
You dumb shit, you. Your sarcasm IQ is on the retard level. Barack was giving Iowans a COMPLIMENT, sarcastically referencing what the PERVADING STEREOTYPE IS...and then constrasting that AGAINST, what the ACTUAL REALITY IS...in a way that is WHOLLY COMPLIMENTARY to the worldliness of the average Iowan...you stupid troll you.
I think stuff like this really separates him from Clinton who seems a lot more robotic. As a Democrat, it's a pretty hard call for me between Obama and Edwards but it's probably not going to be Hillary for me unless she can convince moderates.
This is a nice example of his good sense of humor. It's good to remember that his mother's family is from rural/farming communities so I take this comment as good natured and about the complexity and sophistication that is equally at home among rural and urban voters. I love it!

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Obama is suprised that Iowans care about countries beyond our own?
How unfortunate that Obama holds such a negative stereotypical view of Iowans.
