@banjoboy.....the Stoneman Family are the music, and most likely an additional guest on this same episode from the set of either The Porter Wagoner Show or The Willburn Brothers??? Ronnie Stoneman, the lady banjo master was a lead on Hee Haw!
@seacaribeqr My information is that this is from the "Stoneman Family Show". I'm not sure where and when it was produced. I haven't seen any other clips from the program anywhere. But this could certainly be one of Tammy's very first TV appearances.
I Love Loretta Lynn. Tammy allright with her songs but not with this one. THE TRUE QUEEN OF COUNTRY MUSIC. I Love You Loretta Honey All 50 Years Of You.
@MrRickycurry ...I agree. I have much respect for Tammy, but she just dit'n do this song justice the way Loretta did. The best singer I've seen cover it, is Jeanie C. Riley....singin' it WITH Loretta. By the way, if you haven't seen that one, PLEASE, do yourself a favor and watch it! It is AWESOME! Just type in "Loretta Lynn & Jeanie Riley" and it'll pop right up! :)
@nicoleakalilqueenie I have seen it honey. It is GREAT. Loretta Is The GREATEST SINGER EVER. And I really wished that Loretta And Jeanie did that song on a Album. I bet it would have been another Number 1.

Not as good WHEN THE TRUE QUEEN OF COUNTRY MUSIC. Loretta Lynn sings it but it alright. God Has really and is still Blessing Loretta With Unchanging Voice And Beauty. I Love You Loretta Honey All 50 Years Of You.
Loretta, Dolly, and Tammy were all great friends. Shows here when Tammy does one of Loretta songs.

Now here's something unusual...Tammy Wynette in a bluegrass context! Great to hear it, also very nice dobro playing! Any idea who this is?

@BanjoBoyMatteo Roni Stoneman is on the banjo of course. Not sure who is playing the resonator guitar (dobro).

I don't think I've ever seen Tammy play the guitar before.
PamK36 1 year ago
@PamK36 I guess it's "old school" country... when all singers would at least hold a guitar in front of them.
Gatorrock787 1 year ago
@Gatorrock787 Maybe she wanted to fit in with the Stoneman sisters.
