If you don't want viruses why don't you switch to a mac? Since your footage appears to be from a console, just do the editing on mac. I'm not sure what programs you're using exactly, but almost everything these days has a mac port, or a mac alternative. Really, if you're looking for professional stability and reliable content, mac is the way to go.
