Let me try to explain. When we physically die our human body remains, but we (Spirit) live on forever. We (Spirit) choose our eternally destination by either confessing Jesus or denying him. And we are more than flesh and bone. We are actually spirits living a human experience (Genesis 1:26). For example, my flesh may desire a cigarette, but my spirit does not.
