@kittyrockzz It is a flashback for Cindi. Use your imagination with me Kitty. She is singing Many Moons because she was chased out of Metropolis by the Wolfmasters (Violet Stars Happy Hunting). She is trying to stand up for everyone that is being marginalized by the society that they are living in(Many Moons). She malfunctioned (Many Moon video), and ends up being rescued by a higher being(God, creator, whoever). The rain and thunder sounds, we see her staring out her window (Oh Maker).

@kittyrockzz NP. If you listen to Many Moons she uses Thunder, Lightning and Rain in there too, just like Neon Gumbo. It ties everything together from Suite I to Suite II. And each Suite (the intros) contain parts of the song she is about to sing or has already sung. Janelle is so brilliant. I have not stopped listening to her albums since I have bought them. They stay in rotation on my iPhone and iTunes.

@shyras0glam Hi thank you for responding. What I am saying is documented. GAP have a credible record in some reports and not in others. The garment industry is particularly prone to abuse of labor forces, either through poor wages, working conditions, under age workers etc. GAP have made bold statements but are yet to live up to their word. I also found out recently that she has done a Coke commercial!! which has a worse record. Read the article by wikipedia 'criticism of coca-cola'

The issue here is about being a spokesperson and advocating for a certain life of freedom, liberty and love for all. In this case then there is a greater responsibility to be sure what products you endorse, as a celebrity you have the power to influence more than the average person in the street. Many Moons is a good example of that, she is telling us that we are not really as free as we think ("We're dancing free but we're stuck here underground" and "You're free but in your mind, your freedom is in a bind") and also how our world is colapsing in front of us. Cold War seems to tell her story and how she's by herself resisting to their dominance, declaring war against them. But maybe I'm imagining stuff..

You may have read the lyrics, but they don't account for the last minute of the song, nor do they put in the part "He use to live in Center then, He had a friend named Benjamin, Sail away sail away Susan" at 1:40 into the Many Moons.
