  • where was that 4x4 going at 1.20 ? looked like he drove through the railings! thought the yaught club was furthrt down?

  • what is up with those wipers?

  • in the 1950s than only ran single decker buses because of the wieght limit on the bridge and only about ten people could ride on the bus across the bridge so everybody else had to walk and the bus waited over the other side for them nice in the middle of winter blowing a gale and pouring wth rain ah happy days

  • Scary's when the waves are lapping over the bridge and the sea has invaded The Ship carpark, even up to the road's edge.

When I was a kid (late '60s to early'80s), I must have seen the sea as high up Langstone High St as the main road and with all the cottages around the shoreline flooded out.

We even had the swans swimming around in the public bar at The Royal Oak a few times; Grandpa put a stop to them going into the Lounge bar though !!!

To all who remember the Springs/Maces ... CHEERS !

  • Do I hear some Andy C in the background?

  • more coming.....

  • thats really rather scary isnt it.
