I've actually encountered many more haters over at my website than here at YouTube. But that's probably because I'm virtually a YouTube virgin, with only two political videos posted which almost nobody noticed.

Given time, I have every confidence that I'll attract my own YouTube haters.  Something to look forward to???

It's hard to believe, but once in a while the haters slip through and post something. But their accounts are found and deleted by YouTube within minutes!

I'm guessing it would be about 15. Old enough to know that there's an exciting world out there waiting for them, but young enough to be grounded, without transportation, and with acne so bad that they couldn't get a date even if they weren't grounded. But that's just a guess.

Plus, my other videos included a lot of Beatles covers. The Beatles are still pretty darn popular around the globe. So if you cover a tune that people love, and they don't like it, you get some unbelievably hateful reactions...."go die," "worst I've ever heard," "if you were here, I'd kill you and your next of kin." So, as much as I love the Beatles, I've shied away from these covers because of the hate.

From my standpoint, the haters have lessened, almost to the point of non-existence. But I have a theory as to why. I deleted all my previous videos because of haters(to my everlasting shame), and they haven't returned for the most part. I think from when I started you tube to now, the viewing habits of the average you tuber have changed. The novelty of viewing cover songs has faded in favor of more commercial fare, hence my channel doesn't get viewed.

I didn't realize you'd deleted all your old ones; that's too bad, you had a good catalog of material there. Build it back up and you should be able to build an audience too. Your playing and vocals have gotten better with each video, so people should be watching. Anyway, thanks for watching and commenting.

I salute them too!!! Great video!!! I think over the last year that some haters have organized into groups and have even created Web sites devoted to their craft... Maybe a graduate student in sociology somewhere will do a research project on the phenomenon!

Being a former Santa Cruz resident and past receiver of many hate column postings, some thanx to a Mr. Bruce Bratton of Santa Cruz. Two years ago I had close to 40 Yahoo Groups removed, thanks to Haters, people I did not know and people I will never meet. Oh, I had a membership base of well over 250,000, I guess haters wantsed that base for their own use. Thank you for your vid :-) Bill

I must admit that i've been very lucky with the Haters, so far anyway. They're still out there, as lots of other YouTubers can tell you.

I also admire their dedication, especially those Haters who go to the immense trouble of copying & cloning somebody else's page.

The problem, though, is that when a person has more than 50 vids up and their account is set not to receive email notifications (because of the overload) then it's difficult keep on top of the problem.
