  • Interesting. An oriental Shostakovich. Reminds me of Gustav Mahler in a peculiar sort of way. This orchestra would do better with music broken into quarter tones rather than half steps. This music is challenging enough for an accomplished Russian orchestra and is way out of this orchestra's league. As for the violinist, I'm too distracted by everything else to focus on him. The video quality is also too flawed to adequately judge him.
