I saw them on the reunion tour in a concrete hockey arena and they were as awful live as they ever were. What a waste of $50, plus the $7 Budweisers (taps shut off at 10pm). The fans knew the songs better than the band did. Bob, the second drummer guy, is just annoying. They did 2 fake encores: meaning, the demanding crowd noise was half-hearted and Malkmus just crouched near the edge of the stage like, Let's get this over with. I like Pavement's records but they're worthless live.
Does it mean I'm old that I still think of this song as "new Pavement"?
