  • I do oval track and sprint racing, although we kind of stick out because we're in a predominantly sighthound club and I'm out there with my German Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix who is 5 times as crazy and intense on the lure than the sightounds xD

  • belly regon boob was hammerd twice with schrlo champ

  • So have you personally ever killed a greyhound because it didn't go as fast as you wanted it to?

  • Hey man! Are you proud of being a master of animal cruelity?

  • STOP GALGOS AND GREYHOUND ABUSE !!!!!

  • @AnubiGrey Shut the fuck up, nobody cares..honestly.

  • @AnubiGrey Not everyone who races or courses is an asshole.

  • super cheap greyhound I have in my hand call me from Turkey 0542 60000 72

  • scary

  • thanks, for this wonderful collection...I would love to find someone with Lurchers in the southern USA.

  • @2barbreak Thanks!

  • I heard Top Honcho was getting stuffed too. So many greyhounds have his bloodline, including my two boys.

  • My past Greyhounds' pedigrees go back to some of these Greyhound Legends.

I have owned Greyhounds, Salukis and Lurchers all of which would take down Deer, Hare, Rabbits etc. My Greys had strong bone as they were raised well. The key to owning a Sighthound, Lurcher etc with a "killer instinct" is to train them obedience. I trained each of my dogs after a couple of accidents including cats and sheep with one dog. Thereafter all my dogs could be with cats, pet rabbits, ferrets etc, yet still hunt!

  • owners really need to bring their dog to Macdonald often.

  • 4:27 schwarzenegger 's guard dogs :P

  • I would eat them nom nom nom nom

  • ya like dags?

  • hares were mostly killed off by invasion of the rabbits and the same disease used to cull the rabbit (myxomatosis) also effected the hare population , i haven't seen wild hare since i was little

  • they look so weak, but yet the muscles on them are the first thing you notice. such incredible dogs, im more of a cat person, but these dogs are beautifull.

  • @bulletjunk In some ways they can be weak as their bones are light. Therefore lurchers are used to catch hares rather than greyhounds. That is because lurchers being hybrids have stronger bones so their legs do not break when making sharp turns in rutty English fields but are still fast enough to catch the hare.

by the way never keep a cat with a greyhound. Although yes there are exceptions. Greyhounds and lurchers have phenomenal prey drive.

  • @beginnersgambling The majority of rescued racing greyhounds live harmoniously with housecats. I had two greyhounds with no prey drive whatsoever who lived with cats for 12 years. My current grey does have a prey desire and likes to chase squirrels in our fenced backyard or while on leash during walks. She was fostered in a home with cats and loved them. Our cat doesn't care for the grey andis the alpha. The dog's behavior with small animals is fine in the house, but all bets are off outside.

  • @beginnersgambling possibly some element of truth there.however i have been around greyhounds and lurchers all my life, and the greyhound is the fastest dog alive, the reason for the cross breeding usually with a collie was for brains.greyhounds can be rather stupid chasing a hare or rabbit there sight hounds and have tunnel vision and prone to go crashing into gates and fences where a lurcher will jump the obstacle

  • @relmmih6 yah I agree with that too.

  • @beginnersgambling there are several exceptions. Its a disservice to the breed saying they cannot be kept with cats. You have to chose the dog carefully but many retired racers that even won many races (my dogs as an example) has no interest in my cat. He's far more safe with cats than many dogs. There are several factors that play into whether a dog will go after a cat than just prey drive.

  • what about Master mcgrath lol?? the first dog to ever win the waterloo cup 3 times :)

  • True. I don't have a picture though. Send me some and I'll make an extra video. Well him and a few other good lurchers.

  • how do you find the music on you tube ?????

  • when you upload a video go to audio swap and they have a large selection to download for free. I can't remember the name for this one though but it is in audio swap ccj asked me the same thing!

    youtube audio swap function

  • thanks for that .

  • good vid , you cant beat bullx's .

  • Thanks mate! I appreciate the kind remarks. Yeah the music is a good match although it wasn't my original choice as you tube said it was copyrighted. Still it turned out better to use one of you tubes freely-available tunes!

I am more into game dogs myself, but was introduced to lurchers by some travellers in Lincolnshire and got more interested in it.

I especially like "bull lurchers" ie bull terrier * greyhound crosses!

  • Nice job mate,im not into longdogs but found it very intresting. The music was good aswell, nice one.
