this is purely, phsycological, it is not a phisical addiction, but it is about the same thing really, because if your so hooked on gaming that you cant move, then your brain is telling your body "dont move or ill die' and the aim of a body is to protect the brain.
as a gamer myself, yes. there is video game addiction. i play PS3 and i play it alot and for long periods of time. and when you have left ur console you want to play it. i went on holiday for 2 weeks and on the way home i couldent wait to play my ps3 once again. so yes, its true. but i dont know about not eating or going to the toilet, thats pure lazyness i think.
Hey Tom, yes addiction can manifest in any shape and form. Video games are no exception. You seem like a bright kid. Keep learning, the more you know the better, knowledge is power.
Yes, I've always thought that video game addiction is more of a symptom of addictive personalities. I love games and yet only played WoW for about a month. Whereas, a friend of mine (Whom I gave a free trial to *gulp*) played for a period of 5 months where he would often stay up for two to three days playing non-stop on a diet of mainly bird seeds... And it was pretty much the first game he'd ever played. He would tell you that WoW was not the problem but more a tool for his problems.
Hi tom, great video, and im sure your soon going to be a household tech name =] as to your question about being addicted to game'ing , I know that this exists, I am still fighting the urges to rejoin world of warcraft for the 5th time. that being said I dont think its a valid excuse to miss work/school or get dumped by my X though she bought me the damn game...
Hey Tom, to answer your question I definitely believe there is such a thing as video game addiction. Last school year I would literally play one video game for 50-60 hours a week...thats at least 7 hours a day everyday. It caused me to get poor marks first semester and I would only get about 3 to 5 hours of sleep on average every school day. It also created a major gap in my social life. Of course I eventually changed, but it was a significant part of my life.
Well Tom, I think you can be addicted to anything. Plenty of people are addicted to work, In college, my Dad was so addicted to chess that he ended up flunking out.
So on that basis, I would think it possible to be addicted to video games. A vice is a vice.
Hey Tom! Can you make a video on like how to show a picture on the bottom of your video while its playing? If you can. Write Back! (P.S love ur shirt!)
i think its just an excuse to play video games all the time, heck all i do after school is play on world of warcraft, but thats coz i find it fun not coz im "addicted"
great video tom, i think there is and is'nt i use to play game called runescape for 2 years i would play before school and as soon as i got in from school every day training my chartor and i was addtived i would not go outside with friends to play the game.
i'm no longer playing this game it took 2 years of my life i'm not in year 11 and matter of a week before english course work needs to be handed in. there more things in life than just games but i did'nt know that for 2 years of my life.

With my version of iMovie, you cannot overlay images. Glad you like the t-shirt, by the way.
