Comparing abortion and the holocaust is like comparing a fire cracker to a nuclear weapon. While they share similarities they are worlds different. The meat industry shares more similarities with the holocaust than anything but I digress. The holocaust was tragic and caused much suffering and pain to fully conscious self aware people and frankly a fetus just doesn't fall under the conscious category yet. I really don't see what is harmed by an abortion if it is done for a reason.
I'm not here to debate I just wanted to put in my two cents, but my view of morality is that is a human made construct, both genetically to preserve our species from an evolutionary stand point and from our personal preference as a society 'I don't want to get murdered, neither do you, let's make killing immoral. I also hate it when someone steals... and so on. It may be nihilistic but it's the most logical belief.
And to justify abortion is simple. You define abortion as murder, which implies the fetus is a conscious human being. That is your first mistake. the assumption that abortion is murder. While murder is immoral in our current system of beliefs, killing a living thing for a gain or purpose is not, i.e. the meat industry, hunting, pest control, etc. etc. Now, an argument can come up; 'Well this is different because the fetus has the potential to be human.' So does every males sperm.
So, using pro life side logic every person on earth who has ejaculated or had a period therefore commits murder. This is especially bad for the guys because apparently they have now killed millions, maybe billions of 'humans' in their life time. But then what is the definition of being a living human being, obviously sperm is not. I personally support early abortion and only late abortions where the mother is at risk of death. While by law a unborn child is considered a person...
when they have been born. A clear moral border is very vague in this area, what defines a living human being. Personally I believe by the time the child can respond to stimuli in the womb is what defines the later period that I mentioned. That is the stage that a line could possibly be drawn at but there again is no clear line, and it all comes down no personal belief. Because morality itself stemmed from personal belief. From a social contract between early humans and their...
families. A simple I wont kill you as long as you don't kill me standpoint eventually evolved into lets not kill at all unless it is necessary. Lets define these things that could harm our society 'wrong'. Well here we are still deciding whats 'wrong'. Hopefully at leas someone understands now that abortion is moral by the same logic that we kill for any other reason, to better our society in some way, prevent death, emotional stress, or preserve the status quo.
It is never good to base laws on purely religious beliefs. Do not associate your religion with your laws simply because that's how our country as built, to decrease the illogical and unjustifiable actions that often come from religion like killing, verbal, and physical abuse of others, and just the whole lot of insanity that comes with it. Don't believe everything you hear because truth is very hard to find, do your own research don't be a mindless citizen of this earth.
@Kestroodle The fetus is human. If a dog is pregnant, is that fetus not considered a dog already? The only difference is that the fetus is completely dependent upon the mother for it's survival and has no voice of it's own. It can not communicate because it has not learn language, but that doesn't mean it's not already human. What would it be if not human? Redefining what it means to be "human" is the same mentality the Nazi's used to justify their genocide.
0:11 What abortion does to the most? Seems like stupid did to the most where you're from. Ever heard, "I brought you into this world and I can take you out?" No? I wish your dipshit parents were smart enough to abort you. I love how people talk about the wrath of god like they've ever fucking known him to do anything other than stay fcking silent. If he's there he'll do something, right? No need to get all uppity and "burn the whore with torches in the town square!" You guys fucking suck.
@halfbloodprincess923 They'd probably thank their parents for not introducing them to a world of fcking idiotic people. Spoiler alert! The fact that you are alive means that somewhere in the universe there's a soul that can't be. What? The Bible never taught you the law of equivalent exchange? Everything comes for a price. Don't be that narrow-minded, mawkish individual who posts that shit on the internet. No one likes that.
@ModestTruth Well if they hadn't come into this world they wouldn't of had the opportunity to know Christ as their Savior. That's my point of view. And maybe, if our goverment wasn't full of a bunch of dumb asses who run the public schools, we wouldn't be idiots! Just because I posted my point of view and you don't agree with it doesn't mean I'm some narrow-minded, mawkish individual, it just means you don't wanna hear what I have to say because you think I'm wrong or you don't like what I said.
@halfbloodprincess923 You are wrong again for a myriad of reasons. You need to pick a side. Does God only exist in human perception, or is he something elemental, eternal, something independent of human kind or the world? If God can still exist without humans, then why would you make the argument that people who aren't born don't know of him? Is God simply a lie that we teach children? If he's out there he will make himself known. He may not be your version, he may not be called "god" at all.
@halfbloodprincess923 I believe that God means Goodness. God is everywhere and nowhere all at once. And he can take on many forms. In terms of abortion, who knows whether aborting a chromosomally-defect fetus isn't being kind? Isn't it wicked to make a woman suffer through her pregnancy, carrying a dead child within her? When I say dead, I mean it literally. That type of infant cannot live outside the womb.
This world is a cruel place & kindness takes on many forms.
In regard to what u said about the government and public schools... I think you might be a right, but not because of the separation of church and state. That was the best thing we could have done for posterity. Strong religious belief en mass is portrayed as a good thing, but look at what it has brought us. Historically, more people have been killed by the church than saved. I wonder if your public school has any text books or a library.
@ModestTruth Yep Historically, People have done a lot of bad things and used the Bible to justify something they wanted to do. It's very sad especially since the Bible contradicts what most try to use it to justify.
& guess what? the CREATOR will judge & punish each person involved with the murder of each unborn human. this is murder - the wrath of GOD & the punishment He inflicts upon those guilty, with blood on their hands will be so severe hell will seem like a vacation in comparison. abortion is a blood sacrifice to Satan, it is murder to please Satan, it has nothing to do with choice. murder is murder - it is impossible for anyone to justify abortion.
@JoelB3783 sure leave God out of it, makes sense doesn't it? leaving God out of it makes it much easier to murder an unborn human - no guilty feelings if there is no God, the unborn human is just a tumor being removed in a clinical outpatient situation. ignoring God only works until you die, once your life is over & you die you will have no choice in the matter - you will bow before your CREATOR just like me & just like everyone who ever lived (inside & outside the womb).
@33point3 Are you dumb enough to imply that people who have never heard of God can't feel guilt? Jesus Christ! No I mean it, Jesus Christ should shove his cross up your ass as punishment for being so goddamn stupid. What's the punishment for stupidity? Well the idiots who wrote the bible must have left that one out too.
@33point3 And I forgot to say this to you. Fck you for thinking you can have any say over what I do to the body God gave me. If you really believed in God, his punishment in the afterlife should be enough for you. I guess it's because you want to keep every clump of tissue with no self awareness alive. I guess you would freak out if people cut a mole off their body. "nuuu! Save the human tissue! nuuu don't freeze eggs or waste sperm!" They all have the potential to live like a fetus!!!
@33point3 Sure keep the tissue alive. Maybe you can bear the unwanted pregnancies of thousands of ill-fit parents and MRDD fetuses for the rest of us? We can rip the tissue off our out of our bodies and make you carry it. All you pro-life people out there! You want to tell me what I can do with my body? One day we'll be telling you the same thing. If you want to save the baby, you fcking carry it and care for it and love it. If you fck up the child, its on you. Oh, make sure ur decently rich too
@33point3 FYI, God destroys as well. Maybe it's His will that mongoloid children are aborted. Probably because backward, Bible HUMPING retards like you would burn the kid for being cursed by demons or a witch or something equally unrighteous. Why bring a soul into the world irresponsibly? Doesn't God still control the world in your narrow-minded head? Maybe he wants certain people aborted. In the end God's cruel to be kind. Ever seen it from that perspective?
@quarry22 God doesn't MAKE anyone do anything. We do have free will and if someone is raped it is entirely the rapist fault, he chose to do so. Did you not watch the video? LESS than 1% of abortions are because of rape.
