i need help

i used to have a very old mac computer and their was mac voices where you could type in something and it would say it. it also had some voices that didnt even sound like voices. i only remember one clearly though. it was a male voice talking or singing and it sounded like bells. i dont know what it was saying but i might of heard something like good times, or fun times of something like that. can you plese identify what it was so i can google it and heat it. i dont know why i want t

Im a mac user and all, but the current one sucks! They used to change the startup tune all the time, but then they picked the one in the Power Macintosh 9600 / Bondi Blue iMac G3, and haven't changed it for over a decade!

@commentmachine1 I don's see why you don't like the current one, it is the personality of all modern Macs, and most PC users can identify a Mac immediately by hearing the bong. The startups of the older Macs sounded pretty cheesy except for the Macintosh Quadra 840av, 660av and the classic Power Mac series.

The problem with all the comments saying that the startups suck and the startups should be with so and so OS is that the Mac startup chime is integrated into the system's EFI chip and is hard/impossible to modify. The startup sound isn't integrated into the OS, thus, that's why if u set the Mac to boot into windows through boot camp, there will be two chimes, the Mac and the windows one.

@1234567abc3 Man, I thought I was the only one who appreciated hearing my long gone Power Mac 5200 startup chime. My personal favorite even now. Apple should've remastered it and use it for these newer intel Macs back in 2006 because they've been using the current startup chime since October 1993 (it was a half-step higher in pitch back then, though, and even that sounded better).

The old ones would sound during a kernel load (instead of a BIOS/EFI start) so it would have that happy little sound right after a crash screen. In one old apple computer, the HDD was next to the speakers and the sound would make the computer crash under the right circumstances... Infinite crashing loop...

@SacredFrickinBob I prefer OS X. I find it overall much more stable than Windows as it is Unix based. While the Mac versions of Office,etc. aren't as good as their Windows counterparts, Office 2011 really is much better, plus, Windows apps only make up a small portion of Mac apps. Other apps work fantastic.

A few hundred more gets you the little things like the MagSafe, or better customer support, build quality, etc.

While some rather just pay for barebones hardware, some prefer such stuff.
