Ya the Tiburon should of ran better than that. I have an 05 gt v6 5 speed and it should run a 15.2 approx. But I race one of those civic si in my crx si and well he beat me do to the fact I blew my tranny do to bad sincrows but he still would have beat me anyway but he should run a 15.4 thats what the guy I raced was running. With blowing my tranny I still ran a flat 17 with 330,000 miles on my car.

All you people bashing the tiburons need to chill. Admittedly, I would prefer to drive an Acura RSX-S, but tibby v6's are VERY close in performance. Stock numbers rsx-s...0-60 in the high 6's. Tiburon v6 6spd...0-60 around 7 flat. I have personally raced rsx-s's in my lightly modified tib v6 and won. The tib is more torquey. Although I do realize that the RSX-S is an all around better car. But you could put less than a grand in a tib v6 6spd and hang with rsx's all day.
im not trying to be an ass but how do u get a 16.2 in a tib and a 15.5 in a z.....i can trow down a 15.1 in my stock ser spec v and thats over 100 and some hp less then the z....
@whatsvtec in vegas its higher altitude. Cars are close to a second slower up there. I did the 15.5 when I came to maryland in the tib. I was running in the 13s when i got the z.

@29ryan49 I actually think they look good with out a body kit... more of a front lip and thats really it. As for rims... yes i have seen some really horrible rims on them and the Razzi body kit is horrible.
Stock expesialy with 05 bumper they look good - look better then anything in its price range.
People at gas stations often comment on how nice it is or even come up and ask what it is (stock lowered) - according to reviews it is "mini-me clone of the 456GT" - and they all comment positivity on its styling - you must be a hater.

True, 15 flat is the fastest I have run stock. There's a few people who got under that due to elevation or track prep or temperature or whatever but its right around 15 seconds for most 8 gen Si's. Then again, they aren't drag cars, they do great on autocross tracks.

Actually its about launch if your talking about stricktly time. You don't need to have a good reaction time for a good numbers run. If you are "racing" somebody THEN its about reaction and launch. If you want good numbers just worry about the launch.
my 06 SE does a quarter in the mid to high 14's depending on the launch. it has a CAI and a cat back exhaust. but the 05 and 06 SE's are faster than the 02-04 GT's for some reason. they run like almost a second faster in the quarter stock vs stock.

Tiburon was in class above civic (in class with Eclipce, rsx) until Honda ditched RSX and put k20 in to civic 2005.
Both cars have their pros and cons, and people have different tastes and preferences.
