Does anyone know of any good resources on photoshop basics because im new to it and just way overwhelming to someone who is used to just good ol paper and pencil!

@Jeep8908 PS is propably one of the worst programs for beginners, just search "photoshop basics" on YT, it might help.

@Jeep8908 You mean a graphic tablet? Yes, I use Wacom Bamboo Pen&Touch for sketches, I just use my mouse for the lineart, shading and stuff (it's way more comfortable while using the pen tool)

@Isverybored Photoshop CS5, the diifference is that Illustrator is mainly for, well... illustrations, Photoshop's main purpose is editing photos and stuff, but it's very good for stuff like this too, especially the pen tool.

Do you have tips on using the vector tool? The curve lines always confuse me as to how to manage them to get the shape I want.

@ZephyrDM You mean the (GREAT AND POWERFUL) pen tool, right? well, here's a few:

-Curves can go up to 45 degrees without loosing the right shape

-After making a line hold Alt and click on the last anchor point, it cancels the curve

-Put anchor points where the curve changes direction.

I hope my comment was clear, search for some tuts on YT, they're really helpful.
