Simultaneously, I wanna say that I did enjoy lots of things such as the ending where there was a great bit of work together. Just try to slow down and mellow it out
Lol ya they sampled this. Its always exciting knowing the root of a sample. I feel like thats why I love old school hip hop so much. i know so many of the samples
If you think it is never this fast, listen to Freddie Hubbard's performance at the 1980 Montreux Jazz Festival. It is at least this fast with even a double time samba for a few chorus' in the solo. Just because the internet makes you anonymous doesn't mean you know shit about shit.
yeah...this is good! the keyboardist was tripping. the guitarist backed him very well and so did the bassist. however i was not so impressed by the brass section. they did not give it that punch at the end of that motif...nah nah nah.nah nahhnannha! hehe i dont know to explain it in words, but never the less, doing that song is very commendable. Keep it up.
Why did you speed up the tempo? It's supposed to slow, nasty grooving fusion funk tune. You are all technically talented musicians, but need to develop some groove and feel.
omg kids, you play the song, even hit all the notes, but, with absolutly not one ounce of soul funk or grove, I'd wait a few years before exposing yourselves online...downbeat gives you no stars...limp da piano player does give it a damn good try though...
That was incredible. Freddie is smiling. Great job. Was this high school jazz band? I wish you had some horn, bass, guitar and drum solos. Thanks for a great performance.
It's jazz people...
you play it the way YOU want to...
who gives a hoot if they play it at 200BPM or 60BPM??
it's music for crying out loud.
If you don't like it, listen to something else.

What's with the absurd speed? How can you keep this funky when you're tearing through it like that? Slow it down a bit next time

Really nice solo man. But, the tempo really does have to slow down, it's a funk groove, it can't be soulful and that fast at the same time.

Good piano work, horns were awful, why only one soloist?
