Don't get me wrong, I love Nick Jonas a lot, and if I saw him in CONCERT, i'd be screaming. But it was a PLAY . I grew up all about broadway, and if this was a broadway production and all of these girls were screaming you'd get kicked out. It pisses me off how every video I see , all I hear is, "OH MY GOSH, AHH, IT'S NICK JONAS". Like, it's normal to cheer and whistle or whatever during a character's entrance, but screaming everytime the boy moves, is annoying as ever. He's a JoBro, get over it.

Comparing Zac to Nick doen't really hold up in a live production. A movie is edited all the way through. It's more personal than on a stage. Zac may have seemed more smooth and relaxed in the movie but it's an enitirely different atmosphere on a large stage. There's no way to get the same intimacy as in a movie where every single one of Zac's lines and close-ups are manipulated to perfection.
Nick's vocals are AMAZING. He did a wonderful job on that huge stage. So proud of him!

It's number one etiquette on broadway or in theatre in general. No fangirl screaming. This isn't a rock concert or Jonas Brothers concert. It's a musical and we want to hear the performance. Screaming is not necessary. If I was onstage and there was constant screaming and picture taking I would pull a Patti Lupone on those bitches.

@mimersteamer234 Comedies ARE serious productions. The Hollywood Bowl isn't broadway but they still put on great shows. Singing and laughing are expected, dancing even. Screaming every ten seconds isn't. I'm sorry if I sound a bit condescending and mean but I'm sure Nick would like to enjoy a performance where people don't scream every time he does something.

People need to stop freaking about the screaming, you'd be screaming too at what he's doing. This isn't a serious play like Les Mis, it's a comedy where the audience is supposed to get involved. Nick plays a teen heartthrob, he's supposed to get that kind of reaction. Besides, he wasn't the only person people were screaming & cheering for all the time, he just had the most screams.

@AubrissJ It is common courtesy not to scream during a musical like they are.Just because it's hairspray and yes it is a comedy but it's just as serious.There is a difference between applaud and screaming. The laughing is fine. But seriously it is common courtesy not to act like that. Obviously you have never been to an actual one of these because then you would know how to act and you would know how it's a distraction for the audience and even more importantly the actors. Learn about musicals.
@sfchawks1 what the hell is your problem? there was old people screaming & cheering when Drew came out, when Harvey came out, when Marissa came out. It's an all star cast, it's not like a normal theater production, it's on a much larger scale.
@AubrissJ BUT, They don't scream thought, sure they get a reaction during their entrance but normally people DO NOT scream all though a show or song. it is considered a common curtusy. in fact at normally theatres- that kind of screaming would get you removed from the theatre. Also, Nick Jonas made a just okay link- nothing spectacular at all- look up Matt Morrison, Aaron Tveit, Andrew Rannells- they were amazing! Jonas was just okay.

doesn't matter if it's not a "serious play like Les Mis" (which by the way is a MUSICAL, not a play), it's just theatre etiquette! i think people need to realize that there's a time and place for audience involvement, and i don't know where anyone got the idea that just because a show is a comedy, it can be interactive! it's completely not true! have a little respect, people worked hard to write those songs, and they weren't designed to be screeched over.

It's number one etiquette on broadway or in theatre in general. No fangirl screaming. This isn't a rock concert or Jonas Brothers concert. It's a musical and we want to hear the performance. Screaming is not necessary. If I was onstage and there was constant screaming and picture taking I would pull a Patti Lupone on those bitches.

@mimersteamer234 Comedies ARE serious productions. The Hollywood Bowl isn't broadway but they still put on great shows. Singing and laughing are expected, dancing even. Screaming every ten seconds isn't. I'm sorry if I sound a bit condescending and mean but I'm sure Nick would like to enjoy a performance where people don't scream every time he does something.

People need to stop freaking about the screaming, you'd be screaming too at what he's doing. This isn't a serious play like Les Mis, it's a comedy where the audience is supposed to get involved. Nick plays a teen heartthrob, he's supposed to get that kind of reaction. Besides, he wasn't the only person people were screaming & cheering for all the time, he just had the most screams.

@AubrissJ Just as long as i can hear him sing i'm fine. But since i can heard him VERY clearly i don't mind, all that much anyway. Only up to the point if i cant hear from all the screaming is what will annoy me the most.

@AubrissJ It is common courtesy not to scream during a musical like they are.Just because it's hairspray and yes it is a comedy but it's just as serious.There is a difference between applaud and screaming. The laughing is fine. But seriously it is common courtesy not to act like that. Obviously you have never been to an actual one of these because then you would know how to act and you would know how it's a distraction for the audience and even more importantly the actors. Learn about musicals.

@AubrissJ BUT, They don't scream thought, sure they get a reaction during their entrance but normally people DO NOT scream all though a show or song. it is considered a common curtusy. in fact at normally theatres- that kind of screaming would get you removed from the theatre. Also, Nick Jonas made a just okay link- nothing spectacular at all- look up Matt Morrison, Aaron Tveit, Andrew Rannells- they were amazing! Jonas was just okay.

@sfchawks1 Good for you. This screaming is extremely rude and very distracting. Screaming is appropriate for concerts, not theatre. Stupid fangirls, go learn about theatre etiquette. The audience never screams for people on stage like this during a musical. Even during musicals that Andrew Rannells or Aaron Tveit are in people do not SCREAM when they come on stage. Nick is an actor and should not be treated as a teen heart throb while he is on stage acting.
