hey, im going to try and make my own longboard as well. i was wondering what kind of wood should use. i was thinking of getting BALTIC BIRCH PLYWOOD 5/8 X 12 X 60 (11 ply) or BALTIC BIRCH PLYWOOD 1/2S X 12 X 60 (9 ply)

will that work for me, or do i want to buy my peices in individual plys?

@Quekil830 he laser etched it. we have one at our community college that's free to the public. it's awesome! i can etch metal, glass, wood, plastic, anything really. we have a shop bot too that i wanna use to cut out my board when i get around to making it.

depends if you want flex, and the strength of the wood in question...

pine,evergreen, is not so hard, thus needs to be thicker

Birch,maple is pretty hard and gives good flex and is probably mu first choice of wood...=)

its called a jig. u put glue on two pieces of wood and u put in the jig tighten down some clamps wait for the glue to dry and ur done! it may take a while to find a way to get the jig right

here's a tip somebody gave me:

While your gluing two pieces of your ply wood together, put your board between two chairs, or any other flat surfaces and put some weight either in the middle, or 1/3 from the nose of your board. It should bend a bit, then let it dry and voila!
