If you like true role playing then yes AA wasn't that good but if you liked first-person vehicular combat like Mechwarrior or Heavy Gear then you'd love it!
AutoAssault isn't that bad. It's wrongly labeled an RPG. Being really an MMO action game, the fun wears off pretty quickly. I played for about 6 months straight, and only because I was in a good RP clan.
