Sorry about the temperature - and the shorter course....If you get your Cold Event in 2009 note that the field hospital is very good indeed. It has catered for 300 cases of hypothermia one year... If I am there next year that will be 22 winter events I've seen.
The last 2 years we have been blessed with with a warmer clime....All my mates ,haste to say all bottled out for about 5 years have since said "it was the coldest whenI did it"...bla bla.......is still a tough event if you want it to be....or as easy as you want it to be...its personal choice..and I enjoyed the challenge.

That's why I walked that far..! in 96 it was snow, 91 Floods, and around 96 we had fog and down to a genuine -5C. 300 Cases of Hypothermia.

Nice temperatures.
Next Year i hope it would be coulder - at 9°C and 6°C Water temp isn't a tough guy race.
