Let me understand this....you own a company that does video productions....and you started this project with a SD camera. Seriously? How in the name of all that is good, decent and holy did you ever get hired? Seriously....SD in today's video market. That is laughable.
It was our first gig and we did it for only $600 which was a steal so the client was lucky it ever became HD at all. SD is still very popular for small clients like this. Even MTV still shoots a bunch in SD
That's what I'm wondering right now, for a promotional video for an iPhone game. Would it affect sales if I put effort into a VFX intro or would it be off just as well if I just slap on some text in the beginning and end; between the gameplay footage.
the point is you want to do something that will make people want to read/play it. the effects are there to give you a sample of the experience. you also want to be memorable.
D'oh! My bad...I didn't see the red eyes until I read the blog and looked again. Also, it's not set in the 16th century. It's a fantasy book, so it doesn't really have a time frame that it's set in. Could be a zillion years ago or could be in the future.
dude i love ur work 5/5 u still needa make me that puppet tutorial on how u did those wings would be gratly appreciated thx man once again great videos
Nice Did you create the effects or was that you just avertising the only thing i saw wrong was people didnt have hair die in the 16 centuery so the pink hair makes it un realistic
I rather liked the lens flare at the end. After seeing these great FX I wanted more, though...especially the shot with the flame bursting towards the castle. It was nice to be on set and then see what you came up with (I promise I won't give any secrets away). Love the crane shot with the horses!
I really dislike the image at the end. It looks like someone threw it together in under five minutes using Photoshop. The video editing is great, but that one image.. is somewhat repulsive. I mean, lens flare? Seriously?
Awesome work. A whole plethora of effects in there. How did you do the 2 horses going off towards the castle? I'm assuming it was a case of putting a castle into the background as opposed to any greenscreening?
Great great work...makes me want to get back on adobe after effects right now
the pink wig says it all.

Wow, this is awesome quality! I like not only great special effects, I also like how the peoples act in this trailer - it is really professional.
In some productions you get soon depressed by the quality of actors, etc. But this trailer is really great. I've subscribed you now :-)

People didn't have giants and magic powers in the 16 century (I doubt this is from the 16th). So I think the hair is just a minor thing

The pink hair is because of her species. You'll have to read the book though.
Yes I did the effects and my company produced the whole video.

Most likely shot on location with a green screen in front of the actors then a background plate that made into a set extension using AE
