  • Awesome, Bono really shows that he cares about his audience, Bringing the man on stage and giving him a chance to play, such a remarkable person, then giving him his guitar, truly outstanding.

  • @djrixmix yes he did keep the guitar he got it delivered to him today. hes in love with it already!

  • You must be soulless if you didn't tear up even a little bit while watching this performance.

  • @Pittguy2012 I'm a bit of a heartless c*nt sometimes, But even I thought that was cool

  • This is what makes U2 different. They are a special band. Thank you Larry Mullen Jr. for starting this band!

  • Goosebumps. Wow. Sometimes life is really, really cool. Bono is a legend.

  • ".....You say you'll give me

Eyes in a moon of blindness...."

I was at this incredible concert and thought it was such a great moment when Bono pulled this man up on stage to play, and the crowd went wild when Bono let him keep his guitar. As incredible as the moment was, I didn't know until later when I read about the concert that the guy was blind, which made it even better! Bono is a truly nice person, which was evident from the respectful way he treated this fan. I love U2!

  • A blind guy who looks at the fret board.... Hmmm....

  • and a quick question: they played this in Seattle, i assume they didn't play it at all in Nashville ??? until this happened ?

  • just amazing in so many ways: the right song, the right guy, the right moment.... found the cnn interview here on youtube, it filled in the gaps. this song is sooo good, and yet has been sooo overlooked .... this will give it some justice

  • what an awesome dream for this guy. way to show the love bono!!!!!!!!

  • not a big fan of U2, but now this is my favorite song xD

  • Class.

  • Simply outstanding.Bono rocks hard! U2 is and forever remains my favorite group!

  • I sang along to every song during the concert - except this one - because I was crying (with joy) so hard. This is one of my favorite songs, and to hear it played live, and to have this man's dream come true...WOW!

  • This is beautiful in so many ways. What a moment, what a band and what a memory!

  • thats just awesome, and he gave him the guitar

  • that blind guy they pulled on stage. thats my cousin!

  • @higurashirose If that is true, please post whether or not he DID keep the guitar because many spread the rumour he didnt get it after all...

  • @djrixmix He did get to keep the guitar, but it's being shipped to him.

  • @DanielJustin1986 Now THAT is "class"... I'm sure he would have never made it out of the stadium with the guitar otherwise...

  • What an amazing moment!! I choked up the first time I watched this. What a band!

  • Beautiful simply Beautiful.

  • Amazing

  • This is truly a moment of surrender !!

  • Awesome U2!

  • I guess I will be uploading all of my U2 songs back on to my Ipod!

  • im not a fan of U2, but this is simply awesome. Nice going U2 :)

  • And this is why U2 is the greatest rock band in the world. They are not selfish like some other bands.

  • 12 people don't know good music

  • I may think Bono's generally a conceited ass, but this is still awesome.

    Classy, generous and memorable.

  • Bono is just the epitome of cool, classy, and kind. LOVE U2!

  • Bono, his band, family, friends, and security folks are, simply put, "Good People." By bringing this young man on stage Bono & Co reminded everyone there, and now world-wide, that kindness is its own reward, doesn't cost anything, and we never know how the most of simple gesture (in Bono's case a HUGE gesture) can affect someone's life - and countless others - through that an act of kindness. Cool to see respect musician-to-musician. Blessed be...

  • GOOSEBUMPS!!

  • '.....eyes in a moment of blindness.....'

  • awesome

  • What led to this? I saw Bono bring a guy onstage in 92 after he threw his band shirt onstage. But, what led to this guy coming up? Good stuff!

  • @OtisRyanProductions -- According to rumors, the guy was wearing a shirt that said "Blind guitarist. Bring me up."

    So. So. Awesome!

  • @iamthebyron Not a shirt, he was holding a sign.

  • This is really great !!!!

    Ernie

  • This is class!! Just the simple gesture of U2 taking 3 minutes out of their show to give a fan a lifetime of memories is wonderful.

  • @kevbocat i agree!

  • Comment removed

  • that is called class.

  • One of the Greatest live bands. u2 has provided some great moments for their fans who attend their shows...check out the song electric co live in paris 87...bono brings this guy on stage the size of andre the giant who ends up lifting bono almost over his head as bono starts to sing a doors song

  • Is U2 the coolest band? Is Bono the coolest dude? Yes and yes!

  • blwvideo is NOT Adam Bevell!!! He is posing as him which is a shame because he is taking away from my brothers moment. Get a hobby blwvideo!!!

  • @AudBird7

Seriously? That sucks! Adam is awesome and I'm glad to know him!

  • wow, u2 is total class man!

  • Bono Klasse. Diese Geste, den blinden Fan "All i want is you" spielen zulassen mit der Band, Einfach super. Am Ende konnte er auch noch Bono's Klampfe mit nach Hause nehmen. Hut ab !!

  • JOIN ADAM'S facebook fan page to view news interviews and many pics taken of his special night with U2. ADAM BEVELL ON FACEBOOK. CHECK IT OUT!!

  • Adam!!! You rocked this man!! BRAVO for you, wish i could have been there, this video made my day, week and month!!!

  • THERE ARE NO WORDS TO EXPRESS HOW AWESOME BONO IS.......

  • That's awesome. Bono is the man!

  • Oh... what a feeling. I'm so happy for that guy, that would be an insane experience!

  • You can "like" Adam Bevell's fan page on facebook.

  • :)

  • This is amazing. So touching.

  • I first saw you on the local news tonight (in the Phoenix area) and then decided to see if I could find it online....and sure enough! Congratulations on what had to be an amazing experience. You did an awesome job playing guitar in front of thousands and thousands of screaming fans! Good work!!!

  • The further down the road this band goes the more they separate themselves from any other musical act there ever was, is and will be. No one will ever come close to their awesomeness in my opinion!!

  • @blwvideo Very sweet. My friend was there that night and she told me about it. She sent me to this video. I cried. Very inspirational, and great to know that there are some good people in the world, and that some people can still be wonderful no matter how much fame or fortune they earn.

  • @Naviti7 I cried too!

  • @blwvideo So how did they know you could play guitar? What exactly happened? I'm a student at MTSU and a few of my professors were actually at the concert, one of them was actually backstage, and I've heard a lot of different things. So I'm really just curious about what happened

  • @kapalen He was holding up a sign that said "Blind Guitar Player", you can see him on the u2.com website holding up this sign.

  • @kapalen Man, my brother in law made me a sign that said "Blind Guitar Player, bring me up!" and I held that thing up throughout the whole show. He told me Bono and Larry saw it and nodded towards us a few times during the show, and at the very end, Bono asked me what I wanted to play. It was surreal. At first I didn't know he was talking to me because it was as loud as everyone else would hear it over the speakers. And then he came closer and I could hear his voice, and they brought me up!

  • @kapalen I was backstage too. It was not a set up. All the U2 crew/security (not local people) did not react like they were prepared for it.

  • @blwvideo it's despicable you're trying to plug your channel on the back of a moving story like this, it's downright pathetic. You are not Adam Bevell, the blind guitarist; and how dare you attempt to gain attention from his incredible story.

  • Nine people are blind, deaf, and heartless.

  • Comment removed

  • @blwvideo I was referring to the people who disliked the video. But your point is taken, and I'm sorry to have offended you.

  • @brotherfigure Thanks, no offense taken. You kind of get used to being picked on when you are blind.

  • Bono calls Adam, the invited guitarist, "Sir." It's amazing he's able to still carry himself with humility in spite of all of their amazing success. For all who were privileged to attend and others who were only viewers of this video, let's honor Him by doing likewise and imitate the example he has set for us. Thank you. I love you.

  • Bravo sir, bravo.

  • Bono also bought a 1st class ticket on a plane...for his HAT.

  • @stabbification thqat's a rumour a-hole just like the story "every time I clap my hands a child dies and someone says stop clapping" they're both rumors.....so go take your hating somewhere else douchebag.

  • @wolfennyc ANGRY BRO? lmao btw It's not a rumor so go fuck yourself

  • @stabbification that is exactly what it is fuckface just a rumor...I was wondering how long it would be before the first anti -U2 asshole would rear his ugly head just to say something stupid and try and ruin a feel good story.

Congratulations on being the #1 asshole on this post, now go take a long walk off a short pier, shitdick

  • This was the most amazing moment of the most amazing concert ever.

  • Bono is such a good guy. He helped the guy up onto the stage, let him play the song then gave him the guitar...awesome dude!

  • This is so BadAss! God Bless Ya Man!

  • I was there, and it was a great moment for him, the band, and the city of Nashville. I also have my own video of this, in HD, and will be sharing soon. U2 is absolutely the best rock band in the world today! : )

  • Oh he's such an amazing man. He would do something like this. Makes me really disappointed my first chance to see them, and I'm i'm going to end up missing them :(

  • Pure class.

  • I was there and saw it from 20 feet...It was amazing

  • Good to see that are still 9 people out there to fill the asshole quota ;=)

  • I'm sure it wasn't lost on Bono what he had done for this man as the moment progressed. What a guy. I didn't think I could love them anymore.

  • That was very nice of him. Take people around you and build them up. His whole life has changed for the better.

  • Bono = a living legend!

  • Who are the 8 people who disliked this video? I would like to punch their eyes out.

  • "You say you´ll give me eyes in a world of blindness" .... Damn, as we say in Mexico, "like ring to the finger". God bless u.

  • wow!! awesome!!!! i have no words!!!

  • I was there and it was a truly awesome moment. One of my friends saw on the street as everyone was exiting...had a walking stick and being led by a friends shoulder the whole time. Very humble unassuming man. Definitely not fake.

  • The whole thing was awesome as I watched the generosity of Bono in asking him on stage, then he gives him his guitar...I'm crying at this point. To later find out that he was blind just blew me away. The concert was amazing, as is U2.

    You guys are incredible!!

  • This is so freaking awesome! I keep watching this video and words just can't describe how cool this was.

  • For those of you wanting to say "congrats" to him yourselves...facebook him (Adam Bevell).

  • Great stuff. Thanks to the poster, and also to Rolling Stone for providing the link. I wouldn't have found it without R.S.

  • Goose bumps

  • I was there and nobody anywhere near me had any idea he was blind. Most of us thought it was staged, and I actually thought they were bringing up some big country star until I saw the guy. Now that I know the full story, it makes it so much cooler.

  • I agree. I was also there and nobody knew what was going on. Initially I thought the guy might be drunk because he sort of stumbles when he's brought up on stage. As the song progressed I figured it was prearranged. Great moment

  • @ehmDUALITYuhmm

    uhhh

  • This is awesome!

  • @CHILEwile007 This is U2 there are always cameras

  • This is the exact reason these artists deserve the praise they get. Imagine the joy they have given this man, and the joy they have given people like him all around the world.

    This is inspiring and awesome.

  • I was here... it was great <3.

  • Never really followed U2, but after something awesome like this, they deserve a few CD purchases from me :)

  • tim buckly sent me here too, but im not as happy as shytrunks

  • 6 people have never received a gift of any sort.

  • I was at this show. Amazing moment.

  • first time i've noticed a video that's most popular with the 35-54 year old crowd

  • I AGREE SMILE T THE FACE TEAR MY EYE REALLY GREAT MOMENT!!!

  • Oh and to anyone who thinks it was staged or that he's not really blind...come on, that's just totally false. He's still on cloud nine!!

  • Adam's been to so many of their concerts and many of them on front row. When we became friends with him 7 years ago, one of the first things he told us was of a time Bono had accidentally touched him. We've laughed at him for going back for more...persistance pays off!! Way to rock it Adam Bevell of Mesa, Arizona!!

  • @thesearethedaysaz thanks for posting this. several folks doubted the authenticity. now we need to have ellen or jay leno pick this up for the non-believers to see it!

  • Come on, love the band or hate the band, you would be an ass not to think this is awesome. That is a moment in the guy's life that won't be forgotten easily. Kudos to U2 for doing something good.

  • That was awesome!

  • Who are the two soulless bastards the gave this a thumbs down?

  • So cool. My brother was at this show.

  • Awesome

  • This is why u2 is the greatest band in history! Touching moment!

  • I can't see the video ;(
