I noticed in 2009 that during the promo tour she froze herself with botox, but then cut it out when the tour started and then it all looked much more relaxed on stage. Unfortunately its what women have to do in the industry to stay afloat at all. Sad..... Damn media.

Go see her live and then see how it makes you feel, mental transportation is one of the fastest ways to make a journey. I hear her like I watch a David Lynch flick, I let it take me over without disgracing it with my own thoughts, it is what it is aside from what anyone says. Of the beauty comments, I believe true beauty begins from the inside and works it's way out. Tori Amos has true beauty in both poles and I believe she is a stunning and unique person to say the least.

Tori can actually sing better than that. She is not giving it her all, she rarely does anymore during TV performances. Her little sing song voice, and odd mannerisms, and singing with half or even just a quarter of her voice gets tiring on the ears. Maybe Tori just doesn't have the passion and drive anymore, it shows up far less often nowadays. Maybe Tori would be happier just being a mother and wife.

The plastic surgery has ruined her face, and her vocals are just a shadow of what her gorgeous singing was for all those years. Carry is a beautiful song, one of the best if not the best song on the album. Night of Hunters is a mixed bag. Shattering Sea, Carry, Night of Hunters, Nautical Twilight, Seven Sisters, and Edge of the Moon are really good, the rest could have been performed and recorded better.

The music on this album is great. Quite different from her other records. Her voice hasn't sounded this good live in a while. Besides, you can't possibly expect anyone who's been preforming that much, for that long, to still have the same voice.

We can be thankful that after 20 years, we still get to hear her compose/play better than a whole lot of people out there.

@FuckYourGodYourLord Yes, she may be contemplating her final curtain call, in the next few years. Songs like curtain call, lady in blue, and carry, and others may be little clues. Or she may come back strong again, who knows.

Whether Tori has cosmetic surgery has never bothered me - it's her choice and that's ok by me. But as a singer myself what DOES worry me is what compromises the procedures have done to her vocally - the timbre of her voice, the range and register, the placement etc. To my ear, at least, the warm honey quality of her voice has now gone, and it now seems thin in places.

I have yet to buy the new album, so hope to be proved wrong...

You know it's strange. With Songs on AATS I had very often the feeling that the studioversion was a little crappy but I truly adored the liveversions (look Lady in Blue). Now I hear Carry and you need to know -> I really love the studio version but this live version of the song is even better O.O How does she do that? I could cry 1000 tears to the record-version and a million to that one. Guess the queen is back on her throne. I adore this ♥

i really cant wait unitl all the haters .. especially female are over 40 ..hell over 45 ..and notice the thining hair the expanding waistline .. the thinning eyelashes .. the crowsfeet..yes, all those things that happen where we grow up and age a little ..we are blessed with wisdom...and still all the focus is ..is on our looks...you people piss me off..THAT was the most equisite delivery of Silent Ive heard in years and ive heard silent LIVE so many times it hurts your brain to wrap around it .
