in doing my make-up, do i really need to use the different kinds of brushes? are those included in the make-up kit not enough to have that kind of result like yours?
You actually happen to be incredibly cute, thanks for your tutorial. its sad i live within Tower Hill because i cannot purchase excellent make-up, but i receive free of charge trials through 'Gratis Makeup Samples'. i absolutely adore Max factor cosmetics!
spectacular concepts! thanks!, has anybody sampled MAC's latest line of products?! it is difficult to get hold of cosmetics in Meridian yet you can obtain some magnificent samples by using "Gratis-Makeup-Samples", their awesome.
Also, I wanted to ask you about powder brushes. I use the powder brush that comes in my set that I bought and it looks like a regular brush that you can use for any powder (blush, bronzer, that kinda thing) but when I use the foundation brush I use and this powder brush annd apply everything, and my skin tone is pretty even (I HAVE TONS OF ACNE) but the thing is, I feel like it's sooo cakey and my t-zone still gets oily. and I don't apply too much foundation. Any comments or tips? :$
I just bought a brush set from sephora and it has the flat foundation brush. I don't know exactly how to explain this, but I'm guessing it's the most popular/well known brush? and that's what I use.
And it works well and I really like it and stuff but I wanted to know what you thought about it. Like, why do you use the brush in the picture vs. the flat almost paintbrush looking brush for your concealer.
changing cleaners is all right. but after using one for a long time use it and then right after use the other one to see how your skin reacts... dananicolo00
foundation is a product that you apply to all over your face, it comes in different forms ( liquid foundation, cream foundation, powder foundation etc.) It's to create a more flawless look.
I heard that M.A.C. considers warm undertones cool and vice versa... is that true?... And also I'm Black with yellow undertones in my skin would that make me warm or cool?...
i know you said your skin gets a little red. maybe try a different cleanser??? so many of my cleints who come get facials with me at my spa use that harsh cleanser and that will cause dryness and redness. i cringe when i hear people say they use clean and clear, neutrogena, etc.! they are horrible for your skin...
I am new to foundation. They gave me a sponge-Is it okay to use that? If no, can I use the same brush that I use for my powder?....ugh... getting married in a week. help!
hey ren ren! I am just wondering don't you find nw35 to be too pinky on your skin tone (under your eye)...because you have a yellow tone to your skin since you use a NC colour??
Best thing to do is to use you clean fingers to put on foundation. The warmth of the hand allows the foundation to have more viscosity and the brush absorbs tons of product while the hand absorbs minimal amounts.
does using the 187 brush really cover everything though?? i asked this lady at a MAC kiosk about this brush and asked if i could use it for foundations shes like NOOO she was pretty rude, but i guess we can ...
gosh ren this video is so helpful! i've only been using powder foundation for years. then simply topping it off with blush! i just have no clue when it comes to face products! thanks! one request... can you do an update on your face products. if any have changed since?

Thank you for posting this. I just bought that brush a couple days ago and I tried applying the liquid in circular motions instead of stippling (sp?) and i didn't like the effect. Thanks!! :)

i have the nc20 select foundation. what concealer should i get? i was told to get the studio finish nw20. i have like purple under my eye and next to my nose. what should i do..?? i bought a nc20 select concealer but i heard it has to be a lighter shade.... im confused too much info for enm thing. i just wat to it look flawless.. :-) thanx
When you go to your MAC store, you can totally ask the ppl. working there what color you should use. They're usually more than willing to help out! Um... go to a free standing store if you can. I find the employees in the department store MAC's aren't always as good, or as helpful.
thank u soooooo much you video really helps because i just started wearing make up 2 days ago and i got a mac makeover and today im gunna use the makeup i bought and show it to my mum. I have to make it look as natrual as possiable and a lot of ur videos really help a lot!!
heyyy. does the "select sherr pressed powder" give you a sheer look? i know it says it in the name but thats not always right. because i wanted to get it so im glad i found this video.
i'm a HUGE fan of the 188 brush, which is just a smaller version of the 187. what's so great about these two brushes, is not only can you use it for foundation, but you can also use it for highlighting the face, blush, and powder. it's amazing!
Hey i have to say what is the difference when you apply your foundaton with your finger and with a skunk brush because i have never used a skunk brush because i use my fingers to apply...witch is best?
your fingers don't give you as good as a finish...i used to use my fingers and it was messier and you waste more foundation...also there's bacteria on your hands...using a brush you only need a dot of foundation and it goes on much smoother and you can prevent breakouts since you're not touching your face or contaminating your foundation with your hands.
@MakeupByRenRen Hi Ren I have a question for you.... Do the products you use pay you a commission????.. I do the same as you, I have just uploaded on facebook more or less the same thing you have done... However I make money from the products I reccomend and use...... I suggest it would be a good idea for you..
Hey this video is absolutly aswome!!! omg it so worked. i didnt use the same product 'make' you used but i followed the same tips and now my skin feels and looks better than ever! thankyou soo much i love you!
yene: you can use the 187 as both a powder brush and foundation brush...I don't mix the foundation together with the blush if that's what you mean...just apply foundation with 187 brush and then apply powder with 187 brush afterwards to set the foundation, hope that helps!
yeno: I usually use concealer right before I put on makeup...the key is to set concealer with a powder and then put foundation and then set that with a powder...otherwise the concealer with slide off...if you need to fix your makeup during the day bring a pressed powder with you to touch up...press the powder firmly into blemishes...remember to change out the spongue regularly so you don't reapply bacteria to your face...this could cause breakouts
Hey Mayra: i'm using smashbox photofinish primer...it's always good to use a primer before foundation b/c it evens out your skin, filling in any holes or wrinkles...that way your foundation goes on smoother and lasts longer

Moisturizer protects your skin, as well as prevents caking/flaking of your makeup.
Primer prevents your makeup from wearing out/smudging/melting hours after application.
It is honestly a personal choice, but definitely a recommended one.
