  • Wanted to say hello! Anyone that loves hair like me needs to stick together!

  • Which do you like better sigma or mac????¿?????

  • in doing my make-up, do i really need to use the different kinds of brushes? are those included in the make-up kit not enough to have that kind of result like yours?

  • Can you use a blush brush?

  • spectacular concepts! thanks!, has anybody sampled MAC's latest line of products?! it is difficult to get hold of cosmetics in Meridian yet you can obtain some magnificent samples by using "Gratis-Makeup-Samples", their awesome.

  • Also, I wanted to ask you about powder brushes. I use the powder brush that comes in my set that I bought and it looks like a regular brush that you can use for any powder (blush, bronzer, that kinda thing) but when I use the foundation brush I use and this powder brush annd apply everything, and my skin tone is pretty even (I HAVE TONS OF ACNE) but the thing is, I feel like it's sooo cakey and my t-zone still gets oily. and I don't apply too much foundation. Any comments or tips? :$

  • I just bought a brush set from sephora and it has the flat foundation brush. I don't know exactly how to explain this, but I'm guessing it's the most popular/well known brush? and that's what I use.

And it works well and I really like it and stuff but I wanted to know what you thought about it. Like, why do you use the brush in the picture vs. the flat almost paintbrush looking brush for your concealer.

  • realy helpful video!

  • loves itttttt

  • mahal kita Ren Ren!!!!!

  • may i suggest you put all items you used on the right hand side in sequence the way you use it in the video. thank you

  • Hey Hun...I have the hardest time putting on foundation.. its either too thick or doesnt conceal..any suggestions.

  • it's not quick in the video because she's explaining it. duh!

but this was very helpful. I enjoyed watching it :]

  • changing cleaners is all right. but after using one for a long time use it and then right after use the other one to see how your skin reacts... dananicolo00

  • "It only takes a couple of minutes" lol, you took just over 9.

But anyway, OMG .. I have satinfinish .. and exactly the same powder as you .. and I bought them before I watched your video.

Your skin does look pretty amazing though ;)

  • well she was talking like 50% of the time.

  • She did talk through it ?

  • what is foundation, wht is it used for can someone please tell me? thanks, grizzly

  • It's for your face that hides redness, blemishes. (:

  • foundation is a product that you apply to all over your face, it comes in different forms ( liquid foundation, cream foundation, powder foundation etc.) It's to create a more flawless look.

  • wow your like really pretty without makeup, so lucky.

usually the girls who do these are hags without it haha

  • not usually!

some girls also do it 'cause makeup is a kind of art(:

    not to hide their faces!!

  • Woah Yur Really Good Do You Have Ny Tips For Illuminating Yur Cheekbones.??

  • I heard that M.A.C. considers warm undertones cool and vice versa... is that true?... And also I'm Black with yellow undertones in my skin would that make me warm or cool?...

  • in mac terms

    you'd be an NC colour.

  • Thnx

  • i know you said your skin gets a little red. maybe try a different cleanser??? so many of my cleints who come get facials with me at my spa use that harsh cleanser and that will cause dryness and redness. i cringe when i hear people say they use clean and clear, neutrogena, etc.! they are horrible for your skin...

  • Ah i know! I bought clean and clear once and it burned and i returned it. i'm using olay now, is that ok?

what are some cleansers that are good? I have blotchy skin, but no zits. it's pretty dry.

Thank you so much if you reply!!

  • OMG I love you I just found your channel, and all your tips are amazing thanks so much!!!!

  • finally, now my face wont look orange.

  • I am new to foundation. They gave me a sponge-Is it okay to use that? If no, can I use the same brush that I use for my powder?....ugh... getting married in a week. help!

  • Thanks, RR! That was helpful for me!

  • thanks!!!

  • In short, yes. It looks better if you don't skip those steps. Take the time and make it look right.

  • Moisturizer protects your skin, as well as prevents caking/flaking of your makeup.

Primer prevents your makeup from wearing out/smudging/melting hours after application.

It is honestly a personal choice, but definitely a recommended one.

  • hey ren ren! I am just wondering don't you find nw35 to be too pinky on your skin tone (under your eye)...because you have a yellow tone to your skin since you use a NC colour??

  • Best thing to do is to use you clean fingers to put on foundation. The warmth of the hand allows the foundation to have more viscosity and the brush absorbs tons of product while the hand absorbs minimal amounts.

  • show how to get rid of bags under the eyes

  • what number did you say that brush was? the one u use for the funtation..

  • 187

  • does using the 187 brush really cover everything though?? i asked this lady at a MAC kiosk about this brush and asked if i could use it for foundations shes like NOOO she was pretty rude, but i guess we can ...

  • after you put the concealer on then you put a moisturize over the concealer area why? is that optional?

  • gosh ren this video is so helpful! i've only been using powder foundation for years. then simply topping it off with blush! i just have no clue when it comes to face products! thanks! one request... can you do an update on your face products. if any have changed since?

  • I brought some select spf 15 foundation. How long has yours lasted?

  • ur very generous for sharing your make-up techniques with the world. Thanks. Love from the UK. :) x

  • Thank you for posting this. I just bought that brush a couple days ago and I tried applying the liquid in circular motions instead of stippling (sp?) and i didn't like the effect. Thanks!! :)

  • really..How??...wut about urs...u shouldnt be saying that...i dont want to start shit but...thats her voice...just CHILLAX...

  • and the fact that she's got like flawless skin has nothing to do with it...lol...

  • the more flawless u r....n if u apply on foundation on u get even better flawless skin...seriously

  • hey ren ren what color foundation do you wear cause i think my skin tone is close to yours but i always have a hard time finding me skin tone -color

  • its on the side there lol

  • you look like angela from the tv show bones!!!:):)

  • This video is awesome! Thank u! ^_^

  • i have the nc20 select foundation. what concealer should i get? i was told to get the studio finish nw20. i have like purple under my eye and next to my nose. what should i do..?? i bought a nc20 select concealer but i heard it has to be a lighter shade.... im confused too much info for enm thing. i just wat to it look flawless.. :-) thanx

  • When you go to your MAC store, you can totally ask the ppl. working there what color you should use. They're usually more than willing to help out! Um... go to a free standing store if you can. I find the employees in the department store MAC's aren't always as good, or as helpful.

  • ur skin looks so flawless without ANY makeup on!! lol

  • I like your videos, you are so cute!

  • what kind of kabuki brush were you using???

  • Is a Kabuki brush good for M.A.C studio fix powder plus foundation?

  • heyy! i have a wuestionn ----

does the mineralized satinfinish make your skin too shiny? cus i cant really tell from the videoo. sorry =]

  • no it's more glowy.

the hyper real is the super

shiny one, i find that one to

be way too much for day time wear

    whereas the mineralize satinfinish

is suitable for day to night

  • THANKSS!!! :))

  • Hello,

What kind of concealer brush do you have?

  • can you do a tut using the Studio Mist Foundation?? thanks

  • at what age did u start to wear makeup and do u wear it everyday

  • thank u soooooo much you video really helps because i just started wearing make up 2 days ago and i got a mac makeover and today im gunna use the makeup i bought and show it to my mum. I have to make it look as natrual as possiable and a lot of ur videos really help a lot!!

    thanks soooo much

    xxx

  • heyyy. does the "select sherr pressed powder" give you a sheer look? i know it says it in the name but thats not always right. because i wanted to get it so im glad i found this video.

  • what number is ur mac foundation satin finish?

  • would you say the 188 or 187 is better in applying foundation than the 190?

  • hi can i noe wat did u pu b4 putting the concealer as i had a bad dark circle..could u help me solve that?

  • i'm a HUGE fan of the 188 brush, which is just a smaller version of the 187. what's so great about these two brushes, is not only can you use it for foundation, but you can also use it for highlighting the face, blush, and powder. it's amazing!

  • Hey i have to say what is the difference when you apply your foundaton with your finger and with a skunk brush because i have never used a skunk brush because i use my fingers to apply...witch is best?

  • your fingers don't give you as good as a finish...i used to use my fingers and it was messier and you waste more foundation...also there's bacteria on your hands...using a brush you only need a dot of foundation and it goes on much smoother and you can prevent breakouts since you're not touching your face or contaminating your foundation with your hands.

  • @MakeupByRenRen Hi Ren I have a question for you.... Do the products you use pay you a commission????.. I do the same as you, I have just uploaded on facebook more or less the same thing you have done... However I make money from the products I reccomend and use...... I suggest it would be a good idea for you..

  • how do you like 187 brush?

  • i LOVE it...it helps you save so much foundation when you apply it and gives you a flawless finish

  • Hey this video is absolutly aswome!!! omg it so worked. i didnt use the same product 'make' you used but i followed the same tips and now my skin feels and looks better than ever! thankyou soo much i love you!

  • yene: you can use the 187 as both a powder brush and foundation brush...I don't mix the foundation together with the blush if that's what you mean...just apply foundation with 187 brush and then apply powder with 187 brush afterwards to set the foundation, hope that helps!

  • how often do you clean the brush?

  • you should clean your brush every time after you use it. just a bit of baby shampoo will do.

  • yeno: I usually use concealer right before I put on makeup...the key is to set concealer with a powder and then put foundation and then set that with a powder...otherwise the concealer with slide off...if you need to fix your makeup during the day bring a pressed powder with you to touch up...press the powder firmly into blemishes...remember to change out the spongue regularly so you don't reapply bacteria to your face...this could cause breakouts

  • Hey Mayra: i'm using smashbox photofinish primer...it's always good to use a primer before foundation b/c it evens out your skin, filling in any holes or wrinkles...that way your foundation goes on smoother and lasts longer

  • uh... another question... is it ok to use 187 as foundation brush and also powder brush together? or mixing it together should be avoid?

  • Hi Renren, do you usually reapply concealer during the day? or how can you usually fix your make up during the day?

  • what primer are you using? what's it for?
