Justice had better instruct its federal judges; they refuse to uphold it, as do local officials and judges. Batterers get custody, put false information into the record, court paid experts completely ignore training allegedly give them, as do judges who participated in the DV Greenbook. Is this just more federal funding for fancy conferences? It isn't helping anyone. Temporary shelter is a flimsy band-aid; the big problems follow, especially for children.

Domestic violence is a major problem. Period. It is not specific to immigrant women nor is it specific to male abusers. This IS going to be addressed very shortly, but it's a sad day in the United States when a person's Constitutional Rights are shredded in order to cover up a monumental crime of a proportion that is unimaginable to me! If I am not able to locate someone to assist me I will have no alternative but try and seek asylum in another country! What a pity!
