I go to a Methodist Church "stay over" Camp every year in Leesburg, Florida every summer. I was always brought up a christian but as a younger kid I hadn't ever really come to god so to speak. Three years ago at that Camp when I was 12 year old boy I was sitting on the dock and the band was playing this very song when I devoted my life to Christ! Thumbs up for Jesus!

Jesus sympathized with sinners. He didn't crack demoralizing jokes about them when they were seeking His salvation.

The last thing people need is more people telling them (even in jest) what they're doing wrong. Judge Christians, not non-Christians.

You can say you did nothing wrong all day long, and yes your comment was relatively tame. But you need to be so careful with your tongue. Especially with seekers.

But I've met countless people who were seeking God and gave up because they felt condemned by Christians. Because they felt as if they had to clean themselves up before they came to the throne of grace.

Let me tell you, grace is free, and cannot be earned. Our good deeds are like bloody menstrual rags before the Lord. Non-Christians need to see that.
