Why on Earth is there not a supplemental nutrition guide for us Vegetarians??? I have such a difficult time getting my protein without the added calories. I drink my whey shakes, but there has to be a better way. Any suggestions????
The only suggestion is eat meat if you want to have an easier time building muscle. The only plant that contains the essential amino acids you get from meat, is soy beans. However, soy beans have almost just as many carbs perserving as protein. Therefore, you end up getting too many carbs for the amount of protein you want. I'm sure it can be done, but its no secret that it's wayyy harder without eating meat. Eating too many whey shakes isn't a good thing either, those are supplemental.
