My all time favorite movie.....ever, Marlon Brando was a genius in this movie.

Orson Welles saw the power of this story by Joseph Conrad and Coppola DARED venture down that same river that defeated even Welles. He and several cast members reached their physical and mental breaking points in creating this movie yet somehow it was accomplished. The movie "The Hearts of Darkness", a documentary on making the movie shot by Coppola's wife, is almost better than the actual movie.
