  • Can you combine two or more modulation FXs on this? e.g. tremolo + chorus

Which one is better? Line 6 MM4 or TC Nova Modulator? Thanks :)

  • @smileykim no you cannot combine, try the M9... don't know which one is best as I don't have the Nova

  • mantafff

  • Without, not workin

  • I quick question. I want to build one of these workin the knob. Would I just need a dpdt switch and a jack, or would I need a resistor?

  • Is the Line 6 MM4 a true bypass pedal??

  • @MrExplorerman101 well, there is a 'true bypass' mode on the pedal, but all the switches are relays (I think) so some people might argue that it is not a pure true bypass. It does not kill the tone too much, though.

  • cool idea! great video,

  • Hi, thanks for your awesome (and only) resource for this on the web. Would you be able to create a similar schematic also including the diagram for status LED and power? Thanks!

  • Have you noticed volume drop on mm4? I'm planning to buy one..

  • @luyop only on some presets, I tend to blend in a bit more clean signal on those and that seems to make it less noticeable

  • what tuner is that?

  • @BlueSkies1 Korg DT7...sold it ages ago, now I use a Korg Pitchblack.

  • Hey, I tried this out and I'm pretty sure I did everything correctly, but nothing is happening. You think I could email you a few pictures to see if you can spot the problem?

  • does this need any source of power?

  • @ericalward no if you don't want to use a status LED

  • wow awesome discovery! I'm looking for parts to do this, the site i'm on has 16mm and 24mm pots, which do I want? Also do you need a mono or stereo jack? Will a standard patch cable work to connect it? Thanks!

  • @bmwz20 16 or 24 are both fine, stereo jack and a standard patch will do the job.

  • dude! You are my HERO!

A guy, here in brazil, is charging 70 U$ to do this mod! I almost paid for it, just becouse i didn't found the schematics...BUT there is no schematic... It's a function of the pedal and i'm missing out. I spend the last 4 hours looking for an schematic that doesn't exist! The so called "double preset mod" is actually an already built-in function!!! JUST ADD THE EXPRESSION PEDAL... I'm feeling dumb now. HEY! I'm an Electronic Engineer and was thinking bigger!

    CHEERS!

  • @rgmanica thanks, glad I did help.

  • Hey I tried this and it didn't work ....any suggestions. I used mono 1/4 jacks, 10k vol from radio shack and RoHS switches....

  • nice review

  • Do you have lights in the dials of your MM4??!

  • What kind of switch would you need to use if you just wanted to use a switch and no volume knob? How would you wire it?

  • I have a broken wah I want to put this in. Would I be able to wire it up without the switch? Also, you used a 10K audio taper pot I assume?

  • so whwre you plug it..???

  • where the expression pedal usually goes, at the back of the unit.

  • ok...thnx so its very alike to the expression pedal but with a switch and a potenciometer..

  • @thewretchedrod you dumbass

  • ok..I have the unlatchable.. I am thingking on buying a MM4 and I have de boss unlatchable that is iused for setting tempo on de delays like dd-5, dd-7-dd-20,, do you know if it works? the thing is that I livo in Panama and I have have to buy it trough internet..if anyone knows they are compatible? bless

  • Hello I have a question..

you can control de tempo of the mm4 with a boss footswitch?

  • I don't know wich Boss footswitch you have, but if it just an on/off switch, it will not work. Look how it is wired inside and see if it matches my sketch.

  • Which one is the Yellow pedal???

  • why dont you try making somthing like the fuzz probe to control the mod

  • Great demo! I am thinking of purchasing this pedal and I was worried about having to have 2 of the expression pedals. But now i know i have options.

  • Thanks man! Yeh i'll probs go without the LED, i don't want the thing to take up much space :)

  • How easy would you say it was to make? I can barely solder, but i would love to have one. And would it be easy to add an LED?

  • you can give it a try, it is quite simple, just make sure the soldering is solid. You can add an led, but you need a 3pdt instead of the dpdt and a battery (and obviously a resistor for the led). I did not want to waste a battery, helping the environment, I guess...:)

  • where can you get a schematic to build that little switch/knob?

  • If you could get it to the same size as those "Japanese Apartment" Keeley boxes, then you'd be in business:-)

  • That's very cool. It seems very compact, too, which is always good on a pedalboard. I'll have to try that out with my MM4. Take care.

  • thanks, I think I will rehouse it in an even smaller box at some point...space is always an issue on my boards...

  • Where can I find a manual to build it?

  • there is no manual...it is a simple circuit. you need a pot (10k will do) a stereo jack and a DPDT locking footswitch.good luck

  • thanks. do you have a schematic where I can see how you put the parts together?

  • That's nice!!

  • aaha. I always answer me what is that thing?, now i know :). thanks

  • good demo man...what is that black thing with white letters on your mm4?

  • just the 'tweak' and 'tweeze' sticker that comes with the unit. I bought it used, and that was already on. quite handy if the writing wasn't so small! thanks for watching.
