id like to see it run in a large area with gun fire. bet you it declines to 3-5 fps. This is the tutorial. It is the part of the game that is easiest to run. I have a 4 year old desktop. 1gb ram. Dual core 4200 amd and intergrated 6150LE.

It runs this part no problem. well above 60fps. Then when you get out side it drops to like 19-27. Then with gun fire. 15-19 at best. needless to same, I decided it can't really play this game and stopped trying. this is all on low settings.

Firstly you have to install windows. For that you will need external cdrom or flash key.

Secondly if your eeepc has only 4gb SSD then you will need external hdd or you can use 8-16GB SD card. When you have windows on your eeepc and plenty of free space. You can install game like on any other PC from DVD image file.

wouldnt call being able to run the game in the tutorial part of it ( learn to jump crawl etc) playable. All you've shown there on that vis is very small areas and far cry uses very big areas most of the time open areas require more than a tiny room with a box in it.

please show a real part of the game instead with some shooting action if its playable or not

actually crossfire is better than SLi :) because they don't have to patch as much as nvidia.

ATi might not have decent cards close to the top end nvidia card, but they've done a better job with multi-gpu's.

Also, ATi had better cards than nvidia, then nvidia had better cards than ATi, its been like that for years going back an forth.

Oh and actually stuff CAN run Crysis on max detail, you just get sub-par FPS, around 20/30 :) but quad SLi/crossfire is upto scratch for Crysis on max detail.

the eee pc has no gpu (GM 950) but a cpu (in this case) overclocked to 900mhz, just enough to run this game.

the eee pc isn't a gaming rig at all. gaming rigs are expensive hot and heavy, the eee pc is none of those things.

i agree, it looks like a console game on this thing, but that goes to show the better way for one to play their games if an uber cheap umpc can play games like a console!

I was just refering to the load times and the ssd. I know that the most important part of a gaming computer is the gpu. With a faster cpu you'll get quicker load times as it'll be able to unzip the data faster and faster ram and a pci-e 2 gpu will allow it load the data into memory faster.

Wrong! CPU is second for gaming (although still important the video card is more important as it has the job of having to render all the polgygons, textures etc, the cpu is used mainly for AI. Not denying that it is used for some graphics operations but thats not it's main purpose in games.

no, and the "hard drive" of this laptop is a 4gb flash-drive, so you'll probably need an 8gb sd card or an external ahrd drive
