It is about 13 or so years old but you can check out the new models on UMAREX.com they have all kinds of air rifles and I send mine to them for repairs if needed. This gun has been to them once for a repair and is due for another spring and seal replacement. They do good work and chrono the gun also. Thanks

@guitarzan1283 Well my son was saving cans, we were helping contribute to his collection. We normally shoot at a swinging washer and decided to show how many cans of water my gun could go through. Normally its five but it still needs to be sent in and repaired. This winter when my martins are gone I plan to have it repaired and make a new video. Thanks

if your rifle is shooting standard weight .117 at 1100 try crossman magnums i think their 10 gr or 10.5. on my pcp BAM51 i found nothing more accurate or steady in the wind or with more penetration and has very little drop at long range.

@eltra2009 It might shoot a pellet but the size of the airsoft ball is larger than a .177 cal pellet. I have not put a micrometer on it but if you tried it I bet it would not be very powerful or accurate. I would just buy an air pistol it will work and shoot properly. Thanks......

@Chopslord Well I dont own a 34 but I can say out of all the pellets we have shot, my gun performs best with the rws superdome as far as holding a good pattern and pretty good kill time. I would pick 2 pellet types that you like and shot 10 rounds of each at a bullseye and don't try to site in the gun, just see were all ten hit the one thats most consistent I would spend my time sighting in. Then test it out. My martin houses are 60 foot from my porch so I site in right below them. Good for 250'

thanks man! I don't have a crono but really wanted to have somewhat of an idea as to what my pellet guns are shooting at. especially after mods. Now, because of this video and knowing that it was 1000fps+ range, I now have a great "baseline" for testing my guns an then compare to your video. rough power measurment, but accurate enough for me ;)

Well the sound depends on the gun you have. A spring piston gun shooting 1150 can sound like a 1000 fps 22 round and maybe close to some paintball guns. If you buy a 22 cal pellet gun then yes it is firearm size, the .177 call is a little smaller than a .17 cal rimfire. If you have sensitive ears I would use ear plugs. The firearm and permit part would depend on where you live and your age. You could check your local laws or just go to walmart and see if you can buy one. Good luck.

In Canada you can only get 500fps or less airguns at over 18 without a license, but anything over 500fps you need a license called a PAL. I hate it as they are airguns, not toys by any means, but its not like its a S&W 357 mag., I mean come-on Canada wake up, UK too.

Well nice gun!!!!!! Why argue about it.... If your pump gun can shoot 1150 fps then great.... Most stop at 850 to 900 on pumps but I dont shoot them anymore. I managed to exit the 4th can with a pellet yesterday but sometimes it doesn't. It all depends on where you hit the first can and at what angle. The gun i use is a .22 and only fires at about 700 fps.

The gun costs around 400.00 with no scope, I would buy the RWS scope for it or the gun will destroy a regular scope. Check out Umarex online, also Cabela's and bass pro. I would spend the extra and get the model 54 should have reduced recoil. Good Luck.

My gamo shadow .22 does 3 and a half too but i have to use DYNAMIC air bullets. Normal pellets don't produce such good results.

I dont have a .22 air gun but I would say thats pretty good for the larger caliber. I have not shot the Dynamic brand. Since mine shoots at 1100 fps they say not to shoot the special pellets. Mine does need to have an overhaul since it is due. Thanks

I must admit the results from this test are poor. My Gamo Shadow .22 is only 750 fps and with certain ammo does this same amount of water cans.
