  • why can't i contract? I can only select 'border'

  • you have cs4 right? first do Select>Modify>Border and put 1 for the values. then hit Ctrl-Shift-i. now go back to Select>Modify>Border/Smooth/Ex­pand/Contract/Feather. :) hope this helps

  • Stuuf like that should be done by applying the border effect to a mask attached to the image. I find your method a bit...akward
