Great song this!!! (shame about the quality upload) When my mate first played this to me I was like yeah so what...then the fast bit at the end kicked in and I was hooked!! Bought a copy not long after that and I would never part with it :)
I suspect most of the copies still in existence are so scratchy not just because of age but because the glue on the paper sleeve lasted about a year and then turned to powder. One day, you went to play the record and found in covered in dust and grit. Well, that's what happened to mine, anyway.
This was one of few non-asian records on the jukebox in Saleem's, back when there were only two restaurants on the Ladypool Road. Another was Jeremy Thorpe Is Innocent by The Surprises.
Wow, remember seeing these a few times at the Bournbrook Hotel in Selly Oak, and their manager Richard selling me this single which i have still got and play it often. Thank you Richard !!
Bunch o repressed trannys I reckon. Saw 'em at the Swan Yardley in '78. Poncin about like they wuz Godesses, Then they cum ova to Walsall when the Sidings were playin. Got blown off the stage. Have to concede tho' great production for that time, mebbe due to sum engineer turned onta robbie an all that. I still reckon Girls Aloud were modeled onnem tho' you only gotta look at the leggy ginge and Nicola Roberts....
Nope, I really meant terrible. They were like these nasty hippies trying to be 'punky' and 'political' - just like the Au Pairs another bunch of hippies from Brum.. There were some great bands in early 80's B'ham but not these... I liked The Nervous Kind, Dance, The Hawks - all long-forgotten but really great groups.
Way hey this is a classic and my copy is just as crackly i've got thier other release it was an 7" ep
"when you surrender to the feminine gender it's a boy meets girl world put you in the real world, magazine glamour gonna hit you like a hammer Dangerous Girls"

What´s the point of uploading this Brummie classic when it sounds
so bloody awful ??!
Saw DANGEROUS GIRLS in London in ´79 and I´ve got all their 7"´s...
BUT, but, but...was there an album, too ??! Recorded I know it was but
released ??!

All the dangerous girls on screen. Silver ladies.
With their come to bed manner.
Oh wont you love me?temporarily.
Dangerous girls.
When you surrender to the feminine gender It's a boy meets girl world
Put you in a whirl world,
Magazine glamour gonna hit you like a hammer
Dangerous Girls

All the dangerous girls hang around street corners.
La la lamppost ghosts looking like Lilly Marleneonly plainer.
Dangerous girls.
All the dangerous girls on stage playing guitars,
With their oh so white faces like Japanese paintings3 dimensional.
Dangerous girls.

Thanks very much for putting this on Thy Tube.
Saw them many a time in the Malvern, Worcs area.
Here's my take on the lyrics if you need them.
Post to follow; too many words.
